@Blue Jackets de Columbus

Que se passerait-il si les propriétaires des Browns, Dee et Jimmy Haslam, achetaient les Blue Jackets de Columbus ?

Sounds kinda like a slap in the face to me. . These people decided The Jackets did so bad they wanna add them to their portfolio of losing teams with the Clowns.

  2. Lemfan46

He would build an arena in Brook Park and move the team. /s

Stop trying to make this shit happen. Browns are one of the few organizations in sports that are a bigger joke than the jackets

  4. temporalthings

Do you really want our franchise goaltender to be Carter Hart

  5. Ralphcox69

Lmao it would be chaos. Took them like a decade to bring some stability to the browns with AB/stefanski running the show. At least they are always willing to toss money into their teams.

If they fire the entire front office and start fresh i wouldn’t be that upset.

  7. Degen_parlays

Would love that. Say what you want, but they put money into their teams. The browns routinely spend more than other teams, and that’s because of the Haslems. They want to win. They have been better about being behind the scenes as well

Don’t threaten me with a good time

If they hire good people to run the team and keep their hands off maybe. I’m not a fan of the doodoos or anyone in their organization so I’d be massively skeptical

Do you all know what makes the crew successful and not the browns? Seriously?

With the crew all he does is sign the checks (which is the same McConnell does) and his front office does all the work.

With the Browns he routinely inserts himself into the FO business twisting their arms to draft players like Johnny Football, overpaying for badly damaged goods like Watson and hiring/firing coaches/GMs before their vision could play out. This is what happens when an active owner inserts themselves into the decision making process. Oh the Browns made the playoffs a few times lately…so did the blue jackets for several years straight.

“What have you done for me lately” indeed

The Haslams signed Deshaun Watson to that absurd contract.

Why would we want their quality of decision-making anywhere near the Jackets?

Spending money hasn’t really been our problem, but what we spend the money on. JKs worse skill was contract management, dude flat out sucked.

We would sacrifice all morales and give the largest contract in NHL history to a sexual Predator probably.

I hope that clown stays the fuck away from my Jackets

Y’all need to get your Cleveland bias out of here. The Haslems didn’t find success in Cleveland until recently and the Crew were still champions before they bought them. The Haslems wouldn’t save this franchise like Y’all think they will.

    These people are complete scumbags

First off, the Haslams are trash.

    > Pilot Flying J offered trucking companies a certain amount of cents off of every gallon of gas purchased, but then paid a rebate less than the agreed-upon amount and hoped those companies wouldn’t notice. As former Pilot Flying J executive John “Stick” Freeman explained to other Pilot employees in a secretly recorded conversation in 2013, “I wasn’t tryin’ to fuck the guy but we were doin’ the math. … And if his discount was gonna end up bein’ 38 cents? Shit, I’d make it 29 cents. … I was sendin’ him a check for fuckin’ $900,000 … does he know it’s supposed to be $1.2 [million]?”

    > The scheme, which ran from at least 2008 to 2013, cost Pilot Flying J’s customers $56.5 million. The promise of artificially low prices also undercut competing truck stops. The company’s board of directors confessed criminal responsibility and agreed to pay $92 million in criminal penalties and $85 million in civil settlements with customers. Fourteen executives and staffers pleaded guilty, and three more were convicted for various roles within the scheme. The 17 of them are now facing sentencing, though the scheduling for those sentences is unclear.

    > Haslam announced he would step down as CEO of the company in September 2012, but returned to the job in February 2013, two months before the company’s offices were raided. Haslam has not been charged with any crimes and denies knowledge of the scheme. Evidence uncovered in the investigation possibly contradicts that. **Brian Mosher, a former Pilot Flying J executive who pleaded guilty, testified that he showed Haslam spreadsheets detailing the fraud, but then said he didn’t report to Haslam.**

So a bunch of these guys including the President of Flying J got convicted. Happy ending? Nope. During the trial recordings of the entire executive suite singing a song called « N—-r fucker » were played. They also made horrible comments about Black people in general and how they loved Hispanic drivers because they could use the language barrier to take advantage of them. Too bad this is America and these pieces of shit appealed the convictions on the basis that their extraordinary unabashed racism tainted the jury against them. And of course they won.

It’s not an accident that a CEO’s entire c-suite is racist and underhanded and it makes all the more sense why they decided to give a piece of shit like Deshaun Watson a boatload of cash.

I don’t know anything about the McConnells and I don’t wanna know. As long as they stay out of the news I’m good. Also they have backed up the Brinks truck numerous times for the team: Panarin’s insane offer, Werenski’is extension, signing Gaudreau with basically zero notice (in the Behind the Battle they say they have to ask for ownership approval and Jarmo says, « They’ll approve it. »), and I’m sure Babcock asked for a premium salary. Not to mention buying out Wennberg and likely also Elvis this offseason while still having to pay Jarmo and a new GM. They’ve been nothing but good to the team as far as I’m concerned.

Despite their success with the Crew let’s not forget that during most of their tenure, the Browns have been one of the most incompetent organizations in pro sports.
