Lors de ce qui pourrait être son dernier match dans la LNH, toute l’équipe des Islanders a serré la main de Jeff Carter avant de quitter la glace

As a Sharks fan, I hated Jeff Carter for so long because he played in LA. But seeing this makes me sad. Helluva player, gonna miss him.

That is pure class right there, respect

Carter was the final piece that turned the Kings into a legit contender in 2012, then tore up the 2014 playoffs with two rookies, That 70’s Line. I’ll forever be grateful for what he did for the franchise. Enjoy retirement, and hopefully he’ll be back in LA for a 2014 anniversary later this year.

  9. Very cool. Love to see a tough game ending like this.

Having grown up with rugby, it was always a mark of respect to make a tunnel for your opponents at the end of the game, then they do the same back.

  10. Thank you Isles players/fans! BJC is a damn legend. He got shit on by our fans at times these last 2 years but he took it in stride and ended up being a pleasant surprise this year in a better role for him. Still a leader and plays hard, but just doesn’t have the legs anymore (he still had his moments though lol). If this is truly it, which I would imagine it is after this send off, I hope BJC has an amazing retirement!

  11. The Pens will probably sign him to a three year deal tomorrow.

He’s clearly taking steps as if he’s ready to walk away, it was clearly his final game.

  13. Watching the game, I said out loud to myself « why the hell is Jeff Carter on the 1st PP unit? » Then he scored, and of course I realized this was the Pens primary mission this game.

This was fucking awesome. I had a shitty night and I needed to see humans in my favorite sport being kind to one another. Thanks for sharing. Seriously.

Special kind of brotherhood in hockey. You love to see it.

  23. Mcb17lnp

But what if he doesn’t actually want to retire and was planning on coming back onto another team 😟

  24. BurgerFaces

It’s officially his last game, no maybes.

  25. dalisair

As a Ducks fan, that’s a classy move by the Isles. All the respect.

  26. Aggressive-Ranger-54

Hockey should be known as the beautiful game. Pure class and i guarantee any other team would have done the same.

  27. Slugggo

I watched this and thought it was pretty cool.

Isles gave him the third star and the crowd cheered for him, understanding what was happening. Nice moment.
