6’7” allllll day
Solid signing! Between Marlies (1 RFA) and Leafs (1 RFA, 4 UFA), we have 6 spots to fill for next season. Outside shot he makes the team IMO
What’s the typical ceiling of potential for a fourth rounder defenseman?
Have to wonder if he gets into the Game 1 lineup
What’s the deal with signing him right now – do we intend to use him in the playoffs, therefore using up 1 year of the deal like we did with Knies?
Or does the first of his two years start next season?
I assume he is signed starting this season so he is eligible for playoffs? Typically these releases mention when the contract starts.
I think we’d be happy taking a flyer on a 6’7 defenseman with the 6th rounder we trade for his rights anyways. We just accelerated that 2026 lottery ticket by 6 years here. I’m guessing if Carolina cut bait for a 6th he’s not going to be the next Adam Fox. Size is intriguing though. I’d guess he’s our tallest player now? (Hildeby is 6’7 too right?)
Bit concerned by his 16 points in 123 games with a good BU team, especially since the last season was 6 in 38.
Doesn’t need to be the most offensively gifted damn ever, but that makes me think offensive chances are ruined when the puck hits his stick (perhaps for the opposition too).
His defensive award, while good, is just for a single division / conference of the NCAA correct?
I guess a reasonable expectation would be for him to top out as a Lagesson?
If you would’ve told me 10 years ago that we would sign Webber I would’ve been ecstatic, that is assuming you didn’t tell me which Webber
You can’t teach size. I think this kid is gonna be really solid for us.
