Seabrook got a game misconduct and a three-game suspension. So yes, obviously a dirty hit to the head. The Blues won the game but had too many injuries to win the series.
There was a little bit of sweet revenge a couple of years later when they knocked the hawks out of the first round.
It was from Troy Brouwer. In game 7 of that series he absolutely levels seabrook at one point. Seabrook was shaken up the rest of the game.
Not that I had any respect for Seabrook or Keith before that game, but that highlighted what pieces of shit they are, mainly Keith and the Wakey Wakey comment.
Fuck the Hawks. Then, now, forever.
TIL I’m still mad about this a decade later.
That’s some bull. That would be like Arizona (I guess Utah) celebrating the Torres hit on Hossa.
Yeah Stay classy Chicago
I’ve never had as much of a blood boil in all my years of watching sports. Pure hatred. lol
10 years ago?! Jesus time flys.
I was so irate man, we were up 2-0 and they took that series. The tides changed after that LEAPING off of his feet to throw his shoulder into Backes’ head hit.
[It’s always nice when things come full circle, plus the comments are fun to read](https://www.reddit.com/r/hockey/s/XFznJFrG0h)
Some hawks fan was behind me talkin shit about this hit a few months ago (the bedard behind the net goal game)
I turned around and told him to grow up. it absolutely sent him (since he was about 50). Great thing we won that game 7-5 I got to wave bye as he left late in the 3rd
Classy as always
So… we are debating if leading with a shoulder, to the head, against the boards, while jumping into it, is a clean hit?
Hmm, that’s a tough one. /s
Was this the same series where Bickell went around trying to knee half the team?
I was too young to remember that, but holy shit did I just get pissed about a hit 10 years ago
