I would love to see the Panthers win this series in 5 games. It would be ideal. I could be wrong but, teams that go through seven games in the first round don’t win in the finals if they get there. Six games or less is ok.

This will be brutal. The metro having a free first round is way bigger than most people think. Only 1 real series has to be won in order for either the Canes or Rangers to make it to the SCF and their opponent in that ECF series is going to banged up to hell.

For me, I dont care if they win game 1 or not but they need to win atleast one of the first 2 home games whether its game 1 or game 2. Cannot go down 0-2 on home ice, thats what killed us in the last 2 series vs Tampa.

From what I understand with Lightning fans (the realistic ones at least) their ire has been with Jeff Blashill coaching their defense they give up way too many chances and results in goals. That’s what leaves Vasy to do everything and he’s definitely looked off these past few games even though they haven’t mattered for the bolts he’s been struggling when they go run and gun and score at will . The defense buckles

I’m torn between my truer than blue Lightning and the Panthers; enjoyed the hell out of last year except for the ending obviously. I have suffered 12 years having to endure watching the Cats( since I moved to Palm Beach from Kissimmee where the Bally’s feed was the Lightning games ) so I think I deserve to see the Panthers lift the cup but won’t lose one blink of sleep if they tank like the last 3 weeks and the Lightning get their 3 rd in 4 years.
Gudas will be missed on the back line, opposing teams will take liberties and the Panthers have absolutely nobody back there to police and punish could be the factor to tilt the scale against the Panthers….said Lightning/ Panthers fan….
