These Preds are not as strong as the 2011 team that’s for sure. With Shea Weber and Ryan Suter eating up huge minutes, then you had to face Pekka Rinne after getting through them! I wasn’t sure how we were going to score!
These Preds have more fire power, but don’t seem as strong defensively.
They also have a pretty rookie coach in Brunette?

Kesler is more confident than the average fan
Bold of him. I don’t think we’ll sweep. Saros definitely has a chance to steal a game. Josi and Forsberg aren’t exactly plebs either.

That 2011 team was (or close to) #1 in goals for and #1 goals against. Power play was dominant. That first line (twins and burrows) were dominant every night. Kesler was one of the best shutdown guys in the league. Only thing this team has over the Canucks is Quinn Hughes. And another important thing was they had been through rigours of playoffs. I like our team but they don’t compare.
He was pretty much the only one that could put the puck in the net that series for the Canucks.
Kesler’s performance against the Preds the year we went to the finals was one of the most dominant performances I’ve seen as a hockey fan.
