Thanks again for the breakdown. The Kings were able to rally around breaking the Away win Record to start the season. My biggest hope is that they can rally like that to beat the Oilers. We’ve won the first game of the series 2 years in a row. 2 wins away to start the series would be huge.
Hey Eddie. I’ve wanted to comment or email for sometime but haven’t. Anyway, I am leaving this comment only 45 seconds into this video and have a couple of “in my opinion” thoughts…. This is how we win. 1) excluding this last game, goaltending needs to stay as is. (Which is good) 2)excluding 1 player in particular, every other player needs to continue doing exactly what they have been for the greater part of the season. 3)and lastly In my opinion (and perhaps fitting) this entire series hinges on #80. Strong statement but I honestly believe he will be the difference. If he plays like he has for the entirety of this season, then we are a worse team than last years club @ this time, and we are done in 5. If he can perform and contribute the way he should/can than I honestly think LA wins this series in 6 or 7. It’s perfect IMO. Perfect. The whole set up is perfect. The move for PLD was literally made for this scenario. LFG!

Hi Eddie, would you consider having the meet up Sunday before game 4 at lucky strikes instead of Yardhouse. Anytime I see a game yard houses wait times are hours long. The lucky strikes LA live location has a spacious lounge area and no matter what game Ive attended( season ticket holder)theres always space and seating available. Just a suggestion.
No chance anyone gives QB an $11 million per year offer sheet. At that amount, they would have to give the Kings four, yes FOUR, 1st round picks as compensation if the Kings didn’t match the offer.
I see only positives playing the Oilers again. If they win, they finally break through and hopefully they can build momentum off of that. If they lose for the third consecutive year, I think management has to consider taking some major changes.
Why I'd rather play Edmonton: 1. Dallas is better. 2. You don't want to go through the Central route of somehow getting by Dallas then Winnipeg or Colorado awaits. Just one of those three potentially in the Conference Finals is fine. 3. If you beat Edmonton, I feel confident in beating either Vancouver or Nashville. 4. By getting the P3 seed, should Nashville upset Vancouver, you get home ice.
Playoff hockey means your goalie has to come up huge with timely saves, and to be honest, we did not get that with Quick or Korpisalo. Will we get that from Talbot? I seriously have my doubts. This series against the Oilers comes down to Talbot and Skinner. Which goalie makes the clutch saves…

As always awesome job Eddie and as a diehard Kings fan I agree with you 100% on playing the Oilers over the Stars because not only the Stars outscored us 13-3 but they have 8 — 20 goal scorers which is at least 2 more than any other team in the whole league and They also have 3 — 30 goal scorers All 4 lines are flying and very hard to defend against! YES the Kings have been very inconsistent and sometimes really bad with average goaltenders going in to the playoffs with everyone predicting the Kings out in 5 games or less BUT for some Crazy reason I feel like by some miracle PLD wakes up and the rest of the team starts playing better and the Kings are going to beat the Oilers this year and I'm the first and only one saying it so Eddie and my fellow Kings fans remember this post!!!

Edmonton in 5 is my guess, people comparing this team to 2012 or 2014 i want a spreadsheet with who on this team = who on those teams other than our veterans that were here for that lol whos williams whos stoll whos carter,Richards, mitchell, scuds yea sorry we could win one series but there is no way in hell i would ever compare this locker room to the passionate and competitive rosters from 2012 to 2014
While I won't go so far as Ed in Temecula stated that Kopitar needs to fight to be the leader the Kings need, while Anze is a lock as a future HHOF'er, I do think he lacks a certain motivation ability being the laid back player he is. He leads by example out on the ice every shift he is out there but The Cup winning teams, their Captain's are almost always not necessarily their most skilled player but often times their most charismatic. Someone who can pull the best out of their teammates not only with their skill but with their words as well.
I hope Kopi proves me wrong by the team finally getting past the Oilers this season because that's part of what it will take to change my impression of him as the team's Captain.
