I really hope they show upthis year. cause 30 years is definitely long enough

  2. Stig12Cz

    1st – no caps

2nd – 30 yers can be counted as life time so its time to break sams curse

  3. insert-originality

I hope they win. I’ve gone my whole life, almost 29 this June, never seeing my team win a championship.

Like many of you, I remember the Henrik years and those playoffs stretches they had in the early/mid 2010s. They didn’t get it done. They have the pieces; they have the goalie, the offensive elite players, the experienced vets, the young up and coming gems, the offensive defenseman, the experienced coaching staff. They have what’s needed. This year they’ve gone against the best and got it done. By god if it’s not this year, then when? LGR.

  5. NGL I say this at the start of every season. Like if I were the GM I would simply win the Stanley cup. It’s an infallible strategy. Secret hack.

turned 29 this year… really need sam to be wrong about the whole “lasting a lifetime” shit lol.

that said – every millennial nyr fan should thank their god for the goaltending we’ve witnessed in our lifetimes. it’s unreal

i had just turned 6 a few weeks before they won in 1994. now I’ve been following passionately for 15 years, and would love to experience a championship when I’m actually aware of what happened…

i have always loved this team and i am lucky to be just old enough to remember 94. i particularly love this year’s team and i’m ready for the ride. lgr!

I mean… it’s not 54 years, but it would be nice to see Staten Island party like it was 94 again!

  10. WildChinoise

70 yr old fan here, ready to see a repeat of 94!

Expecting to see a trashing of the Caps, just like in 94, LOLS (but will be happy with a series win)

  11. Monfett33

I pray. I haven’t seen the Knicks, jets or rangers win a damn thing in my life.

And if I could choose a team out of the 3 to win something it would be the rangers

  12. RockinRich631

as a fan since the 1970’s i believe this team has just as much of a chance to win the cup as any in the past. first task, win 4 of the next 7 games. lgr!!!

    no caps!

  13. TheSeekerOfSanity

I think their chances will rely greatly on confidence and swagger. They can’t question themselves. They can’t take what the doubters say to heart. If anything, they should be hell bent on proving them wrong!

If our top players play their game and the team continues to perform as a cohesive unit this team has a great chance at bringing the Cup to NYC again.

    LET’S GO RANGERS!!!!

1994 – I was 3 and they had the best record in hockey

2024 – I have a 3 year old and they have the best record in hockey

    It’s gonna happen

  18. Full-O-Anxiety

All the Canadian teams: “Shut the fuck up ya baby.”

  19. broadmeadowbk

i was in my final year of middle school when last we did it. and our older fans had been waiting since 1940. please hockey gods, give me just one more in my lifetime. but it would be really cool if it could be this year.

  20. Never_Forget_94

I was born a few years after and have never seen them win my whole life. I was devastated when they lost to LA in 2014. All I ask is just one Cup in my lifetime…

  21. swiftkickinthedick

Maybe I’m just cynical but playing lesser opponents doesn’t mean we’ll see their best play. Especially after six days rest. In recent history this has not been a team that can just turn it on with the flip of a switch.
