Vancouver looked a bit shocked by the physicality in the first period but recovered to make it into a grinding type of a game for both teams.
Congratulations Shannon! Vancouver deserved the win tonight — or at least Joshua did! My Preds played hard but Joshua showing up in the 3rd really didn’t help us at all.

Nashville played the best game you could possibly expect and still lost. I picked Vancouver in 6, but now I'm thinking VAN in 4 or 5.

Fun game. Nashvilles breakdown seems like it was due to conditioning issues. Vancouver was relentless all game and especially in the third. They could make a run. Grats hockey guy

At one point they played a Taylor Swift song between whistles and I thought doesn't she live/is based in Nashville. I thought it was kinda strange. I think they should play artists from that area. 2 reasons the first every arena would have unique music and 2 you would support people from your particular area.

I have to assume the crowd taunting Saros was to make fun of how the Nashville crowds constantly taunt their opponents, even if they're losing as well. I thought it was pretty funny.
I thought Preds were doing fine, we've played many grindy games that we eventually came out on top of this season, and we never trailed until the gwg in this game. It's a bummer to have all that fight in us (in both teams) for the narrative to just be the 12 seconds, but that's hockey! Looking forward to this series, when both sides settle down and start hitting the net with more of these shot attempts, we should see some more lopsided games, or at the very least, even more exciting ones!

I hated that U2 song in 2011 and I hated it last night. And I consider myself a U2 fan.
Shannon you're not gonna believe me but, before this game I was talking to my friend (who introduced me to you and chose the Canucks as his 2nd team because of you) about how I think there should be a "Tim Thomas Award" given to the player that played years in the minors and when finally given the chance to play in the NHL, has an out of nowhere good season and I proposed that we give it to Dakota Joshua. Then this game happened haha
