If you think that Georgiev isn’t good enough to win a cup, I think starting Annunen is the only option here. If Annunen isn’t good enough either then there was no way we were winning anyway. But you at least find out what you got here. Either Justus is able to be good enough to get us what we want, or we know exactly what we need to do in the off season.

Georgiev absolutely needs to step up.
Defense needs to play smart and clean.
Justus may have the spark they need, but it’s a tall order given he has no playoff experience.
If we can get solid 2-4 goal games out of both, they’ve got a chance against any squad.
Despite his poor play, Georgie has to factor into the equation.

Really hope Justus can play and plays well. This team only needs competent goal tending. Geogiev’s confidence is just completely shot right now. And the playoffs is no time to try and rebuild it.

After last night it’s gotta be seen as a net neutral at worst to let the kid start, if he’s feeling ok enough. I do not feel comfortable running out Prosvetov so if Juice isn’t healthy we gotta go to the well under the assumption that he (Georgie) can’t and won’t let in 31% of the shots again

Man, I did not see everyone wanting Juice to be the starter in playoffs when this season started.. I’ve loved him since he was drafted and always thought he’d be a great backup once Frankie retired (not due to injury..). It was awesome seeing him get some backup time already. I totally expected Prosvetov to be the backup all season when they got him. I hope for Juice’s sakes that if he does get any play time, they don’t let him get shelled like Geo last night. It can really screw with your mind as a goalie to flop in a big situation like that. I don’t want that to hurt his development long term. If he can ever become even a middle end starter or a 1a/1b level split goalie, that’s a huge W for the Avs. It’s been a long time since they’ve had a remotely decent goalie prospect that they’ve drafted and actually seen NHL time (props to Picks still rocking it with EDM!)
