Eh. If Stars cannot get over a Vegas squad hobbling into the playoffs with multiple players one hit away from a stretcher then they deserve to get bounced. Still maintain better to catch them in round 1 than when they have shaken the rust off in a potential round 2 series.

From now on, the first day of the NHL playoffs should be celebrated as Mark Stone Day.

  3. Scissors4215

Ahhh they didn’t make the playoffs 2 years ago so clearly not 3 years in a row.

All this LTIR hate is getting old. I dislike Vegas just as much as every other person, but you can’t blame this on the team. Blame it on all the management that allowed for it to happen. So many other teams are doing it, but all eyes are on the knights purely cause of their early success.

Please cite the NHL rules that were broken. I’ll wait while you dry your eyes 😘

Here’s the thing, I’m almost certain stone is still injured, but knows he has to come back for this series. To be Frank, the knights already are going to have difficulty squeezing a series against the stars, it would be nearly impossible without their captain.

OP is a soccer fan so I will apply the logic of that “sport”.

That sport has 75-100 career ending injuries every single game. Players writhing on the field during every play. Maybe Stone just bought a can of that cold shit that they spray on soccer players that instantly heals the and allows them to run until their next tantrum?

This is my first year in a long time following hockey. When I heard the « Vegas Injured Reserves » moniker, I was naturally curious what it meant.

I was kind of shocked to learn about skirting the cap and how blatant it is. How has the league not done anything about it after this long?

  9. Mattyphantoms

Dallas has more player salary than Vegas FYI

Cue the white knights defending the golden knights

As Gary Bettman looks on like a complete moron.

Micro fracture captain is back … 😂😂

  13. Grapesodazoo2

I hope Vegas gets pummeled. Everyone one here may cheer for a different team, but we don’t cheer for cheaters. Dallas do us a favour 🙏

  14. fendersux

I love the long list of downvoted comments that are all Vegas dimwits trying to defend this rofl

  15. LegitimateDistrict38

I’m honestly more upset with the start times. 8:30 pm cst start means 9:00 pm cst puck drop for some reason. I guess we want to be extra sure they don’t have to deal with jet lag. Also like all of our home games are on weekdays, not even Fridays. Last year we had 0 home playoff games on Friday Saturday or Sunday. This year we might get one in game 7 of this series on a Sunday.

The saddest part of this is y’all crying and being salty as fuck about Vegas. Like just stfu already

  17. commodore_stab1789

Would have been better if that tweet had been made last year and just reposted. Just like the Beaverton article.

  18. God, the whining from the fans of bunch of poorly run teams is just old and boring.

  19. GreatKronwallofChina

He didn’t rupture his spleen. Peter Forsberg in 2001 did. Stone didn’t

  20. jabberwox

Time for DAL to run em up and fill em in.

    Jim, you ready?

  21. JayTee245

If you could punch a franchise in the face it would be the Golden Knights!

  22. Planoraider1291

What a surprise. Vegas and “injuries” once again.

Hes healthy right? Hit him early and often.

Wont save them this time. We are the best team in the west. Stars in 5.

Greatest and most elaborate dive in NHL history

I’m a little worried that he isn’t fully recovered

Vegas doctors: Seen it, covered it. They know a thing or 2 cus they’ve seen a thing or 2.

A lot of people had Vegas for this but they’re being smart with the cap. This is available to every other team. I have no issue with it. If Vegas wants to go a whole season without their top player then good luck.

    Other means of cap circumvention:
    – sending an offer sheet with a ton of up-front money that a lower market team often can’t match. Examples are NYR with Sakic and Philly with Weber.

-NJD signing Kovalchuk to a 15 year contract with last couple years having 1 million dollars to reduce the AAV.
    – Hossa’s contract

-Penguins paying Vegas a 2nd round pick to take away Fleury and his albatross of a contract (at the time).

-low tax markets enticing free agents over high tax markets.

I am not a Stars fan but I hope they grind the Knights to dust (in 7 games).
