Revue du premier match des Kings contre les Oilers

Ce match a eu beaucoup de buts et les fans semblaient plutôt heureux et sans chapeau au moment où il a été terminé. 1. McDavid was unbelievable in this game! Living in the eastern US, I don't get many chances to see the Oilers in action and it was worth staying up for!

  2. I hope the Oilers and Canes make it to the final, would love to see my canes smack Edmonton again like in 04. Sorry Canadians, you prob gunna have to wait 30 more years for you can even think about getting The Cup back

  3. As a neutral fan I would love the goal at 4:30 to count. It's not like the player intentionally played the puck with their hand. They were turning and were trying to play the puck with the stick and got redirected into the net. 🧡💛🧡

  4. THG description: "Mcdavid made a nice move". Reality: Mcdavid pulls down the pants of defender, spins around him at 40 km/hour and passes tape to tape to hyman who swats it home. THG Description: "Kings take a late penalty" Reality: Trevor moore tries to end Desharnais career with a dirty low bridge hit that should be a suspension.

  5. Long post follows with base game statistics including some for the LA Kings. Read, don't read, up to you. These are BASE stats not detailed ones. My comments at the end.

Oilers finally win the first game of the series. Oilers PP was rockin at 75%. Oilers PK at 100%. The boys took very few penalties (2). They blocked a lot more shots and took more shots. LA was laying on the hits very heavy. I couldn't watch or listen to the game so I am going straight from stats. FYI, I get a few hours a day without the bandages on my eyes and I chose to use some of that time doing this. No guarantees for future games but I'll do my best.

In so far as the other matches this evening Toronto tied up their series with Boston by winning 3-2 (so all tied up at 1 each), Carolina came from behind and beat the Islanders leading their series 2-0, Vegas beat Dallas 4-3 to take a 1-0 lead in their series plus us beating LA.

Hope you enjoyed the stats and take care all.

  6. I absolutely despise the goalie name chants no matter who’s doing it. It’s annoying and just downright disrespectful, not to mention Talbot used to be on our team lol.

  7. As a lifelong oilers fan, Talbot was an Oilers legend and the fans were just making him feel welcome <3

  8. 3 gift goals for the kings… one off nurse, one off bouchard and then ceci hand passed the puck right to kings player.

  9. My son asked me what they do with the hats afterwards. I said, good question. Maybe give them to charity? Can anyone clarify what happens to them?

  10. I find it interesting that you keep mentioning that Western Canadian fans are chanting the opposing goalie's name.

King's fans have been doing it for the last 20+ years.

  11. If the Oilers win Game 2, then it's all over…for the Kings' team, management, everything. It doesn't even matter what others think. This has happened to the Kings in their past and is a cautionary tale! It's a shame, but the entire hockey world knew what the Kings needed going into last summer. And blake-inbetween surfing the coast-obviously/or is that obliviously-chooses adding a questionable forward to finding an upscale goaltender. I've never seen such a move in my entire life. Meanwhile, did he really think he'd find anyone to match up to one of the best #1 picks in our generation? For those of you who wonder, I've followed the Kings for a lifetime…and, like watching games/live in L.A., there is a time for remaining/hopefully sweating things out, and there's a time to pass through the turnstiles and quickly exit to beat traffic. One more game…and the Kings…are another lost season! Thanks for your reviews, Shannon, you always manage to keep the truth "c-i-v-i-l" 🙂 rl

  12. Can I just say that if the Oilers go all the way to the finals, at this pace, McDavid could have a 100 assist playoffs. Of course, that won't happen. It's unsustainable.

  13. You forgot to mention the kings last goal was cause by ceci's broken stick then this mad handpass straight to a kings player😅
