You mentioned that stars shine in the playoffs but every year you have those unsung heroes, grinders or locker room guys as they’re called during the season that play an entire different level. Those are the guys you have to look for. Playoffs are a different world. I’m sure Boston from two seasons ago will agree

PK has been just fine this year. Remember he’s a finalist for rookie of the year if not for someone named Bedard. The entire team didn’t take off the way we thought at the start of the season, but PK has played just fine. Let’s GO CANES!!!

Canes fan and the islanders will be a tough test no doubt.
Canes will almost certainly start Anderson. That said, my opinions on kotchekov have changed over the season and I am completely comfortable with him in net right now.
In fact, Anderson and kotchekov have completely different style of play which will compliment the team in any situation. With Anderson's current record this year, he has been insane.
People need to remember that last year Carolina won this series without Svechnikov, Teravainen and Pacioretty who was supposed to be their “deadline guy”. Now they have Guentzel and everyone else healthy.
People are not giving enough weight to Patrick Roy as a positive asset in this series. He will be the difference maker. Islanders in 7
Isles fan here. If the canes are dialed in,this will probably be a short series. If the Isles can stay out of the penalty box and Varly/Sarokin can steal a game or 2 it they can make it a series. Big trouble if Dobson not healthy.
Isles need a hot goalie to beat the Cane's.
I’m a islanders fan and if you watched the playoffs series last year islanders outplayed Carolina 5on5, Carolina won because the islanders took bad penalties Carolina dominated on the power play if they can stay out of the box they have a chance
