  2. Treliving has not stamped his mark on this team. I expect him to be more ready next year when some players will be replaced. Boston will be hard to pass by but it's possible. Leafs need to match hit for a hit to survive.

  3. If they lose, Shanahan and the entire coaching staff will be gone. As far as getting rid of significant pieces, the only way they can do that is to let Marner and/ or Tavares walk for nothing after next season, because the core 4 have NMC in their contracts. I believe that Treliving will stay, but not Shanahan and the coaching staff.

  4. I hope you get better bud it won't be any fun if your sick on vacation, ok I'm not going to say a hole lot we will see who shows up in the first game against Boston on Saturday Go Leafs Go

  5. They need to start open ice hitting, especially in the neutral zone, and at their blue line . And make it hard for any team to come in their zone with speed or in their zone period .

  6. The Leafs have no hope, zero chance of moving past the Bruins (who own Toronto) into the 2nd round of the playoffs in the 2023-2024 NHL playoffs. I'm not certain if there will be sunshine or rain within the next 10 days, but without a shadow of a doubt, the Leafs are going down.

  7. it will come down to refs, I know sounds like a cop out but it is true. Last game agains FLA showed how the refs can change the momentum of a game. Leafs were up 2-0 and had advantage in shots by a long shot. Refs call 5 straight penalities against the leafs and gave 5 straight power plays to the panthers completly changed the momentum. FLA was allowed to crosscheck players lying face down on ice and got no penaalties where leafs were getting called for everything. Leafs coming into this series with the physical advantage, BUTTTTT if refs decide to get invlved the leafs will be short handed for periods at a time and our Penalty kill aint the best!!!

  8. Marner Tavares Jarnkrok is a shutdown line that can be played against anyone in the league and still produce offense. Nylander cannot be trusted defensively so adding him instantly turns the line with the Leafs best two way player, Marner, into a line that has to be sheltered against competition. If Jarnkrok can't go, then Knies should be on the Tavares line. Yes I understand that Knies hasn't entirely lived up to expectations, but he won't decide he doesn't feel like backchecking this shift and just let his man go while he slowly glides back to the Leafs end.

Toughness can't be stapled on. Matthews needs to throw real hits. Not this cutesy thing where he skates up to a guy and sticks he ass out and clips the guy with his butt. Real checks with his shoulder. He should be blowing guys up. Marner needs to throw hits, not one every other game, two or three every game. Tavares same. These guys need to go into scrums, not back away. Matthews needs to look like an angry six foot three man, not a giggling school girl looking around for someone else to take his guy in the scrum. Guys like Domi and Bertuzzi are gonna do it. The guys with the big contracts need to set the tone.

Clean house, LOL. The Leafs should have cleaned house years ago. Why would one more failure make a difference? Shanahan will come out and say that Keefe is next Scottie Bowman and that Leafs fans just need to give him a little more time. They will sign Marner for who knows what and fluff up Keefe's "great regular season record" like that is something we should care about. Maybe they fire the water boy to make an example out of him.

  9. Leafs are a different team this year bc they play as a team taking care of business. Toughness, unbridled offensive talent and S Keefe knows how to blend lines . Nylander an explosive player, and of course AM can score from anywhere. You don't have to drill them into the seats Andrew, just finish your checks, cycle, puck possession and transition to offense, Bruins see an opening when you drill and get tangled up then that creates an odd man rush the other way. We beat TB last year against a better goaltender than what the Bs have.

  10. Well at least Kadri n Holl just to name a few are not on the Leafs the core 4 or 5 have more playoff experience the last time they played Boston in the playoffs since 2019

Fun fact: Mario Lemieux 69 goals with the Penguins in the 1995-96 season finish with 102 pts

Auston Matthews 69 goals in the 2023-24 season finish with 102 points

    Leafs in 6

  11. Andrew your 1st line up against Boston would be a sight to see. But Keefe is not that smart and will get shook and start that whole line shuffle bullshit to bring the Leafs demise.

  12. You're a little too paranoid Andy….Leafs In 6. Boston is weak AF at center and secondary scoring

  13. The Leafs need to eat lightning and crap thunder every game or there done and the excuses will return win now or out no more needs to be said

  14. The leafs best players are too soft, they seem unwilling or unable to fight off checks, and get their nose dirty, and these are the players that are supposed to rack up points. Only Mathews (based on last years play offs) seem to be a little more willing to battle, the rest of the stars are not, and unless that changes the result will be the same.

  15. I am so sick of Marner on this team. Anybody who defends Marner or wears Marner jerseys should just buy a Habs jersey
