This is a huge win for the fans. It will help bring new fans to the fold as well as they can casually get games.

This is way better than I could have imagined! Looks like I’m canceling my cable plan.

What does this mean for fans NOT in the PNW? How do we watch all the games? This year I paid for Fubo (and told it I was in the PNW), but I don’t see how I can do that w Amazon?

    > The organization has been listening to fan feedback on the broadcast, including on-air talent covering games. John Forslund, JT Brown, Eddie Olczyk, Alison Lukan and Nick Olczyk will continue broadcasting the games next season. The team’s broadcast has been widely praised and was named number one in The Athletic’s 2023 NHL broadcast rankings, voted by fans.

    JOHN IS STAYING!!!

They’re bringing the entire broadcast team along except Piper, who works for ROOTSports. Hopefully they can sort that out and she joins the crew next season as well.

So is this in addition to ROOT or did ROOT only have a three year deal?

This is such a smart and class move by the Kraken. Absolutely awesome news.

Now if they could stop playing games on TNT I could watch all the games

Goodbye Root. Have to wonder though if this means another payroll slash for the Mariners

This is how you grow a fanbase, fuck Roots sports, fuck RSNs in general. Thank you daddy bezos

Hell yes! I don’t need a VPN to watch games any more

They are also negotiating OTA broadcasts for Portland and Spokane (and hopefully adding more cities later).
