Injuries is a poor excuse as every team players play with injuries. Just wait after the Cup you hear about horrific injuries some of these players play with. These guys don't have the chemistry or will to go the extra mile. Just collecting a pacheck. Play great regular season to justify pay. Don't care past that.

Being a Leaf fan is like being in an abusive relationship. You really want it to work but deep down you know you should leave. How many times are the fans going to be put through this? The answer is, forever, because Leafs management knows that come next season all will be forgotten, not to mention that butts in the seats is guaranteed always. This team is a corporate problem because the suits are the only ones that can afford the ticket prices. The real fans are outside, not inside. That's not to say that the seats wouldn't be sold out if seasons tickets didn't exist and prices were such that lesser mortals could buy them, but maybe, just maybe, enough people would be disgusted enough to not fill every seat. A clear and monetary sign to management. That's not gonna happen so all I can do to end the suffering is say enough and end the relationship. I saw the Leafs win their last Stanley Cup in 1967. That'll have to do.

I disagree on Tavares playing bad. He has been their best forward by far. The problem is playing Mathews with two fourth line scrubs and expecting him to score. One awesome line is all you need to win, load up at home, use the last change to get your matchups. But, I guess that takes coaching.

Honestly fellas, I feel so broken right now with this team. But here’s my take for the soon to be off season.
I see them not getting rid of or signing Marner right away. I can see Keefe being fired and them seeing what happens in the first few months of next season first.
They need to sign Domi. He definitely has what it takes to be a Leaf and will be a fan favourite.
Every team plays under the same rules and salary cap, so there are no excuses! Shanahan and Keefe must go, and the GM has to be able to do what he wants to truly make this team better even if certain players must go!
No excuses here, but we do have to remember that 2 of the 4 main forwards just came back from injury. Marner with a high ankle sprain, which could explain his terrible play and Nylander with his migraines or whatever. Plus I think the McMann injury has had a negative impact too.
Like I said though, no excuses. My biggest issue is this. Marner got his injury right around the trade deadline. Why oh why didn’t they capitalize on that and do what Vegas did. Put Marner on long term until playoffs and use that money to bring in some top D man. Anyway, that’s my thoughts

Like everyone else, he is getting stoned by great goaltending. I would be sitting Jarncrok or Holmberg over Robertson or Dewar.

This is the weakest Bruins team in the last 10 years. This was your year you beat them.
