Sean Walker parle

He’s been really good! Really hope we can keep him bring this playoff run

I had literally never heard of him until after tanev got moved and then apparently walker was *the* right hander on the market. When we picked him up I was confused but I said trust is sakic and Cmac. I was not disappointed, guy is a stud and exactly what we needed on the blue line

Looks like his next contract is projected to be between 4.5 and 5.5. Hard to see the Avs being able to pay that for a third line defender. If they want to keep him, I think they’d probably have to move Manson.

Guessing he’s just a rental and Sam Malinski is the guy next season. Really loving what he brings to our team though, wish there was a way he could stay

Towards the end of the season, his propensity for penalties late in the game made me extremely nervous about him as a potential liability.

However, I think so far in the playoffs, he’s been great. Doesn’t need to carry offense, but has the ability to when the situation comes up. Good puck mover and reads the play on both ends pretty well.

He’s been a great fit. I like him a lot. He fits in well with his skating ability and offensive playmaking capabilities.

My only complaint with his game is he commonly dumps the puck blindly up the boards leading to turnovers high in the d-zone.

    Overall, a great addition though.

Wish we could extend him. Maybe we can… idk. Hard to not envisioning losing either him or drouin, hopefully not both

He’s a parallel move with Byram in my opinion, but given what they got back for him, that’s not bad.

I think we’re gonna have to let him walk, and whichever team takes him is gonna be really glad we did. He’s Toews-lite. He’s a great fit on a 2nd (on a weak team) or third pairing, can play both special teams, he’s a luxury for us. But not necessarily one we can afford.

Unfortunate, but that’s the reality with the salary cap.

WHEN he wins a cup, his next contract won’t be doable for the Avs.
