  1. The Toronto Maple Leaf's are like Stan Mikita's Chicago Blackhawks, full of talent didn't play as a team and only won one Stanley cup. You build a team from the back end forward. Brenden Shanahan needs to go.

  2. If they out I’m callin it now dubas will go after him. Bring him in on nice beefy like 4 year deal. I could see this as a reality.

  3. what era…. 1967 since they last won the cup. they do not have the goaltending nor the defense to win a cup and 4 players take up over 50% of the cap so no money for quality players to support. they are a regular season team not a playoff team…. and why with less then 10 minutes left was the 4th line on the ice….time for a shortened bench

  4. As a habs fan… i hope it's not the end of an Era
    A) too fun watching toronto's first round exits and meltdowns.
    B) already a lot of rebuilding teams in the division, imagine Toronto, Montreal , Ottawa, Buffalo & Detroit… pretty much an open ticket for the Florida's teams to reign for a short while if this is the case

  5. It's funny Lego rocks that the only time I see Marchand shining is when he's wearing a leaf on his jersey more so than those who call themselves the Toronto maple leafs Marchand you're right is a stud.

  6. I never took the Leafs as a serious contender for theStanley’s until they play in cohesion actually beat the Bruins both in the Regular Season and in the Playoffs

  7. These so called Stars on the Leafs roster ✨are secondary players NOT leaders, making too much money for having proven absolutely nothing…..The time is up.

  8. I’m golfing with Marner and Mathew’s on Wednesday.. I questioned them about them still playing hockey. They assured me they will be at the tee block at 10 am…

  9. what era? Leafs continue to be over rated , over hyped year after year. And when push comes to shove in the playoffs they fall flat on their faces.
Leaf management should be focusing on a team build to compete against the Atlantic teams like Boston and Florida. If they continue not to, they will never get past the 1st or 2nd round of the playoffs

  10. Sheldon Keefe is a soft coach just like the team is soft. If they had a real coach in there like Craig Berube or Gerard Gallant to light a fire under the team, they would at least have a chance.

  11. As a Tampa fan seeing Toronto, it does bring me joy. However, Toronto needs to come back to reality. It’s really simple, you cannot pay 4 forwards +$10 or +$11 mil year. That leaves them with no depth for their bottom 6 lines or their bottom 4 D-men. They “have to” move 1 or 2 of those 4. Tavares & Marner are both in their final year of their current deals. Marner needs to be moved & if you plan to try to keep Tavares, he needs a massive pay cut to stick around or he’ll be shown the door soon. Toronto needs to do this or they’ll never win a cup.

  12. The end of disappointing era, they need to make some major trades and adjustments. As a Canucks fan I will miss watching them fall apart and ripping on all their fan I know.😂😂😂

  13. The Leafs had an amazing three year window, something that is extremely rare in today's NHL. It's over if they lose to Boston and will be for many years.

  14. It's going to be tough to trade Marner, no one wants that contract. Plus he's a UFA, and can ask for $12 Million. I think the Leafs are stuck with him.

Probably the best thing they can do is let him walk after next year, Tavares too. The Leafs need the cap room for the D.

  15. Even if they wanted to tear the whole thing apart, their options are very limited. Not only are Mathews and Nylander extended for many years, but they will both get a significant raise. Reilly is signed long term too, but his cap hit is more manageable. There is still one more year of Tavares and his contract is not tradable. Their only real option would be to trade Marner, but how many cup-contending teams have 11M in cap space to take him? With only one year remaining, he won’t be traded to a rebuilding team unless he is guaranteed to sign there, and is this really what Marner wants? He has full (I think) trade protection on top of it. The Leafs are already cap-strapped and fully committed for next year, so if you want anything meaningful besides a coaching staff change, you are going to have to wait at least until next year.

  16. Considering what happened to Boston last year, they are not letting another 3-1 series lead slip away. I figure Toronto rallies to force a game 6 but nothing beyond that

  17. Toronto is a black hole. It doesn't matter who they bring in, superstar on down. Coaches, GM's etc, it's always the same result since 1967, their last cup win. In the part of the world where THE most NHL superstars have hailed from, as well as greats and stalwarts in the history of the league, this city has such presumptive and expected league topping results that players collapse under the weight of expectations and the voracious media encircling them.

  18. Start a new dynasty next year in Edmonton with Mathews, Hyman for a super group Olier cup in Canada.

    Add Kessel for insurance!

  19. Team work is difficult when you have 4 nos. of 10 mil. dollar men on the same team and rest of the team make peanuts comparatively

  20. It's great that the Leafs have a bunch of guys that like to pad their individual stats. What's the point of a 69 goal scorer when he chokes in the playoffs every year? Marner, Tavares, Mathews, the list goes on. 6 straight home playoff losses. Enough said.

Fire Shanahan and the coach. It's time to admit their core is not going to cut it.

  21. Era? The Leafs don't have any eras. The Leafs are one long nightmarish saga. The biggest fools on earth are Leafs fans. Watching them jump up and down like they are all riding pogo sticks whenever the rare goal is scored would be annoying if it weren't so laughable. The clowns will all be back in a couple nights, packed into their Dundas Square detention centre. Fools.

  22. Game 5 ? Austin Matthews is getting a Hattie. Game 6, tickets 🎟 4 sale, see me Bay and Lake Shore . I'll be wearing a powder blue 💙 blue Jay's jersey. Roy
