While I don't think the Wings would have won the series they would have at least tried, maybe 5 or 6 games. Caps had no business being in the playoffs and showed zero interest in the series. Also had the Wings not fall off of a cliff at the end of the season they would have made the playoffs. Just saying the Wings would have made it at least a little interesting.

I'm a die-hard capitals fan and I know that was going to happen the whole time. I'm pissed off the capitals enough to say that Pittsburgh would have been a more worthy opponent for them.
Why are they excited? They haven’t won anything. They beat a team that shouldn’t have even been there. I myself am a rangers fan have been for 31 years but they didn’t play very well… just barely good enough to beat Washington. Ehhh..
On another note I can’t help but feel Sam Rosen may retire after the year. The signs are there. That guy made my entire 32 year existence. He’s always been the rangers voice to me basically. And it’s gonna suck when he retires no one will ever come close.
