I'll never understand this constant Marner hate. And I'll never understand the constant Matthews ball sucking. I'm not saying Marner is the best player out there, but where had Matthews been? On Saturday's game Marner had the only goal. Matthews is the highest paid player and he'll only show up a few times in the entire playoffs and people will simply let the guy walk free from criticism. I don't know where on earth is he earning his keep lol Marner has more points than him on playoffs too
Austin Matthews is also useless. Having scored 69 goals in the regular season but struggling to get points in the playoffs. Toronto is just one of those teams not built for playoff hockey. Too soft. I know, I have been Canucks fan since I was a child and I am 36. The only time they made it to finals is when they had enough gritty players. Even though the Sedins were soft, they could score in the playoffs.

Uhm people do realize that marner actually has more playoff points then matthews and nylander in his career? Oh and has a +10 in the playoffs compared to nylanders -1 and matthews +1 and plays in every situation?
I'd say that nylander needs to be better nylander is the true liability and nylander is not worth the contract he just got at all and nylander should of been traded this year while his stock was so high because he was on fire early in the year.
