Hi not sure if this is the right place to post, but I’m new to watching hockey consistently and still learning the rules and the nuances of the game. Since I live in the Bay Area, I’ve been conditioned to root for the home team (Sharks), but I never really got into it.
There was a game last week when the Hurricanes were down 3 goals and they make the ultimate comeback, and that’s what made me follow this team. I’m still learning everyone’s names on the team and looking up Canes history.
Do you have any primers to being a Hurricanes fan? Oh, and also, I’ve become a fan of the Canes because my parents live in Morrisville which is close to Raleigh, and there’s also the fact that the three other teams I follow (49ers, SF Giants, and Lakers) can’t seem to get over the hump.
I’m excited to learn more about the Canes. I hope there’s space for me to come aboard.
