If you're gonna say that the Preds were going to regret dummying Petey after their goal, you have to show that it was Petersson who backchecked hard so that they post/missed the empty-netter when it was 3-2. Because, that was karma.

Really hope that unsportsmanlike play by the Preds just woke up a sleeping monster in Petey. Petey needed a wake up call & being disrespected by the Preds may have been the trick.
'It was 3-1!' Any Canadian team should be nervous in that position, especially one with a 3rd string goalie and anemic offense… even if they win, the Oil are likely to eat them alive in round 2.
I'm not super worried about Silovs as the Canucks' goaltender. The man pretty much single-handedly dragged Team Latvia to a bronze medal finish at the IIHF championships. Team Latvia is not the third best team in the world. Not by a long shot. And yet, he stopped so many shots that that's where they stood at the end of the tournament, having defeated Team USA. If the Canucks can clear any loose pucks left in front of the net, they should be good. Most (all?) of the goals he let in on Sunday were deflections, nothing anyone would have described as a weak or goal or one that he "shoulda had". We'll see how he holds up going forward, considering how poor the Canucks luck has been regarding goalies staying healthy for more than two games as of late.

That was blatant as day and the refs and the league should be ashamed of their conduct there.
who do they go after? the 2 smallest guys on the canuck roster who haven't had a fight in their career. oh the big bad predators. it may come back on them in game 5.
Of course that should have been a penalty, but no… I'm not satisfied with that come back win, I hope a Canuck gets back at Nashville #3 before that team goes golfing for the summer.
Nashville had this game, and they probably deserved the win more than the Canucks. Thing is, this current Canucks team doesn't seem to have much of a mind to give up because they're down(not saying they can right any issues they encounter, but they don't seem to buy into quitting due to adversity. You can knock them on their ass, but at some point, they're gonna get back up and put themselves where you might think they shouldn't have any right to be again. Of the core guys, Petey is the only one still heavily struggling(Quinn is hitting a bit of a wall… or more accurately, getting sandwiched again and again), but it feels like it'll only take a goal or two for either of these guys to heat up and start stealing some momentum from a series too…
They might not go as far as some of us will want them to, but boy is it fun getting behind them and just believing that whatever happens, they're gonna will themselves back into a fight…

Not blaming Preds goalie Saros. But Preds fans think he is a top 5 goalie. He's on his downside and has never won a playoff round. I'm really impressed by the Canucks this season. Never would have thought they would be this good.
