@Oilers d'Edmonton

Les Kings étaient-ils un adversaire facile ou les Oilers sont-ils réels ?

Dans quelle mesure les Oilers sont-ils légitimes ? Cheryl Pounder, analyste de TSN Hockey, en discute.

  1. Kings aren’t or weren’t easy. Oilers had to stay tight to the plan or the Kings would give them a run.

  2. 1. LA had the 2ND BEST Penalty Kill in the entire league during the regular season
    2. LA allowed the 3RD FEWEST goals against in the entire league during the regular season

  3. Avalanche look the cream of the crop of the West.
    I’m an Oilers fan & they are a cup contender but an outside contender.

  4. Doughty himself even admitted that this version of the Oilers is so far beyond the previous two they've had to face. So much depth was placed where it needed to be added, and key players are stepping up in key moments. LA was an absolute defensive powerhouse all year, but with how structured edmonton is in the offensive zone, this was inevitable.

    Personally I saw it happening in 6 or 7 again, but they exceeded even my expectations.

  5. The series was pretty close even though it was only 5 games. 3 games were decided by 1 goal. The Oilers PP was the big difference.

  6. Kings didn’t make any moves trade deadline so when you play with the same team every year like the oilers course your gonna win kings need to make changes in front office kings won’t beat them with this roster

  7. Well it depends. If they get into round three and let emotions get the best of them. They will choke. The Avs knew this and swept them. Even Calgary said if they took the higher ground. Would have been Avs vs Flames. It’s all too early to tell. See what round 2 is like.

  8. Well the Oilers are going to be facing faster forwards as they move forward, if they can keep up good defence against them, then they may have a chance, skinner is not really known to be an acrobatic goalie so if their is not good structure in front of him, he may struggle

  9. I’m gonna say both. The Oilers know exactly how to beat the Kings, so they’re an easy opponent in that regard. But the Oilers are also a great team. Great offense, great defense, good depth, good goaltending.

    The Kings were one of the best defensive teams in the regular season. In the playoffs that meant nothing as the Oilers just dismantled the Kings defense and penalty kill.

  10. Has anyone else noticed that the pwhl has zero male pundits ?! That league really needs to get with the times and diversify!

  11. Kings were a joke, much worse version then previously seen with worse goal tending. Oil are going to get stomped the moment they play a real team, which is looking like that'll be in the wcf if nux can't get demko back in time.
