Their comments on the 1-3-1 are very telling. Itâs an outdated system that doesnât maximize the skill and creativity of our best players. It was fine a few years ago when we were rebuilding and didnât have the pieces we have now. Presently constructed, itâs effective at times, but like Fiala alluded to, once teams like EDM figure it out weâre toast.
Hire someone that will get the most out of guys like Juice and Kev and let them do what they do best. Theyâre both point-per-game players even while running an offensively-limiting system for god sake. You can tell the players believe the pieces are in place but just need a bit more freedom offensively.
