Preds played hard and physical but too much defensive mindset not enough offence. They defend and smother but don't create much offense. They did a good job though of limiting Canucks chances.

I loved Tocchet's reaction. Fist bump, but then settling everyone down because there was still time left on the clock. Don't get too excited. Bring it home. Nashville is a good, hardworking team with a lot of playoff experience on their roster. Respect your opponent. I think the Canucks did that and they were the better team, so they won. Silovs was terrific. I'm not saying DeSmith couldn't have done that, but it was Arturs in net and he got it done. It's not easy to go into a hostile arena in the playoffs with only a few NHL games of experience and pitch a shutout, against any team. Nashville has some very good players. But the Canucks played a sound defensive game and were patient. I'm not going to complain too much about the officiating, but after the refs basically let them play for most of the game, to call one like that late, it was obvious "game management" (i.e., artificially keep the game as close as possible), but that's to be expected.

As a huge Canucks fan I have to give the Preds massive props…. they played hard, they didn't go out looking for cheap shots (though I'll argue one exception with the hit on DeSmith) and they made Vancouver earn all four victories…. no gimmies in this series for sure! Nashville is definitely a team to watch out for in the next few years too…. I see them doing some damage in the playoffs.
