  1. Toronto has some great offensive players, but their lines are not cohesive together. First line is essentially a second line… second line w Tavares/Nylander/Knies is essentially a first line… then you throw Matthews w some 3rd/4th on your third, but ultimately just play matthews interchangeably between the top three depending how long he stays on ice for shifts… just fxcking up any rhythm or flow to their offense til late in games. Matthews needs to become less selfish, so he can be productive w other top players, and they need to find some higher skilled Power Forwards to play along w them cuz Matthews Tavares/Nylander/Marner… none of them are going to go into the corners w enthusiasm or intent at this stage of their careers

  2. Half the cap in 4 guys, they can't afford depth and a super goalie, both of which are required to win the cup

  3. Pastrnak’s game winner came down to effort, and the entire Leafs team fell asleep on that play. Effort. It’s just that simple.

  4. I think Edmonton is the most embarrassing team. They have the two best players in the world by a mile and yet they can't seem to do anything with them.

  5. The Bruins looked good in their own end, but over-managed their offensive entries by attempting one-too-many passes, or trying to make improbable plays that resulted in giveaways. Pasternak was definitely unimpressive as the Leafs came back in the series, but at least he wasn't as bad as Marner, who completely ignored him on the GWG tonight. Good for Boston. The Leafs are like the Corporate America of the NHL; I never shed a tear when they lose.

  6. You must admit, it was a classic Leafs move. Fight back from a 3:1 deficit, make it into OT of game 7 just to loose it after 1 minute of OT.
That`s as much Leafs as it can get.

  7. I hate the Leafs. But they played hard to get back into this series. Their best player was obviously not 100%. Honestly, they should not hang their heads after this one. As a pure betting man…..I will be picking them to go much farther next year.

  8. После слов Ови :" 30 с.. ка раз б.. ть" Илья из ворот не выйдет никогда )

  9. Not built for playoff hockey.
One playoff series win under this regime/core four.
    The culture is toxic.
    Changes must happen moving forward

  10. Linholm the legend to corral the the puck and then just toss it in the net lol. Suck it leaf fans. The Canadiens will show u how to build a team 🙂

  11. What a ridiculous comment… they just went toe to toe with one of the most consistent sides in the NHL and lost on an unlucky bounce off the boards. At least they are making the playoffs offs and going the distance in some/most of their series. Now if you’d used the term frustrating rather than embarrassing, you’d have a case.

  12. Give me a choice between a team filled with stars, where everyone cares about themselves first and foremost, and a less talented team where they play as a coherent unit, and I'll take option #2 everytime.

For me, that team was the Bruins, full stop.

  13. BLOW LEAFS BLOW fate has weighed your franchise, and has deemed that you are simply unworthy. Nothing personal.

  14. I thought they played really well. Bruins are a good team… That's gonna lose to Florida.

  15. One thing for certain. You’ll be richer if you bet against the Leafs! Looks like Shanahan needs a 50 year extension of his 10 year plan to win the cup. Predictable beyond the definition!

  16. Leaf nation is the most embarrassing fan base in sports. Why do you you have so much faith in this team? Losing this series should be the best thing that happens to this team, because it should mean MLS needs to start over….but not leads the fan base will be back next year thinking they will win the cup again. When the fan base stops showing up, MLSE will maybe start putting together a team that will really win.

  17. I'm sorry but the Leafs played they're best three games in two decades and just because they couldn't navigate a SET PLAY doesn't mean they're horrible or need to be broken up. The organization just needs to commit to defense. – Bruins Fan

P.S. Media Stop ragging on the Leafs just let the team build off this moment of defense

  18. No one will EVER be able to defeat the Leafs in a choking competition.
Also it kinda kills me that Sammy played so well, then just had to go and let in such a pathetically easy goal to gift Boston a way back into the game and freeze like a statue in OT… It was such a perfectly Sammy way to lose a game.
