I'm just wondering what is the point in cheering for this team that players never want to come here, coaches dont want to come here. Players always seem like they want to leave and when players get forced to play here they never seem motivated to play hard. How are we even going to ever compete when everything is always against us?
There is a difference between overreacting and realizing the truth.. I dont think this team will ever win anything. It's also embarrassing always having other teams fans out show our fans in our own building, imagine how the players must feel (like losers)..

I had some hype with this team, but right now, that hype is dying out really fast. Of all the guys, McLellan was my guy. Travis Green was my very last choice. Im not hyped with this at all. The guy doesn't even have a winning record at all, and was with Jersey!! Im seeing a soft team getting softer, and if this keeps up, good luck to this team.
Staios doesn’t know what he is doing. Best in class my ass. Cheap cheap just like the old ownership. Let’s see how he screws up the rest of the team before September. He will have more excuses when they don’t make the playoffs again.

Green had a weird go in Vancouver. They were a team in transition from Sedins to Petterssons rookie season while going through Covid. Ownership headaches too. He was a highly thought of coaching prospect before Van. Let's hope he lives up to the old hype with a new team. GSG!

We can't hire a guy with a losing record. I didn’t want an inexperienced coach because he might be bad. But I definitely don’t want a guy who has already proven he’s a bad coach.

I think that coaching is more about fit than skill and I believe that Steady Steve with Jacques' guidance made the right choice here. There are so many factors that affect a coach's record, I don't think it means much unless its really good or really bad.

I hated Travis Green back when he was the Laffs. In a squad full of villians, he was right there with Darcy Tucker. Why not hire Darcy Tucker, Aaron Dell, Jeff Friesen, Chris Kunitz,Tie Domi and Matt Cooke to fill out the coaching staff while they're at it. I really can't believe this is the "best in class" option with Berube and Julien available.

Leafs were eliminated…and called him for the job. Berube told the Sens…he's taking the Leafs job. That's why the announcement is going to happen now.
I think the most important thing for the team is a good defensive coach. It will be interesting to see who Green fills out his staff with.

You said it right – "best in class" just becomes another carousel ride of excuses. This is the same as the Melnyk-Dorian era. I'm tired of us polishing up rubble from the bargain bin as something worth while. Green coached a dysfunctional Canucks – they got rid of him and fixed the few pieces needed to get over the top.
