Excited! Now let’s move forward!! He’s been great with developing the young talent. Now he knows he will be coach and put together his recipe from start to finish.
I think Bannister is fine. I'm sure the Blues organization liked the contract price. I would like to see the Blues get new special teams coaches. We've been at the bottom of the league for a few years, and I do not see anything changing with the current special teams coaches. I truly miss Brad Shaw on the bench. Our power play was amazing then.
While I don't wholeheartedly disagree with this decision. It seems like there could have been more deliberation before coming to this conclusion. I hope the organization isn't taking their cues from the team at Busch Stadium and trying to hire a yes man more than a coach. I'll still give the Blues the benefit of the doubt, but watching what the Cards have done makes me more skeptical.
I'm guessing Army figures the teams is a couple years off from being a strong playoff team no need paying a coach high dollars we can just keep Bannister.
Only reason I like the move is because he knows a lot of the youth, and that can be helpful.. Was still a mistake to dump Berube.
Personally, I like this decision. I get tired of the same veteran coaches being recycled from team to team. I love the idea of brining in some new blood that can better relate to the youth they will have coming up

There's a parallel with when the Chief was brought up from the AHL as an interim coach. Can lightning strike twice? We'll see.
