All jokes aside a change is needed with the coaching staff

Yes we need to have 2 of our highest paid players as goalie and 1D.

And then there’s Vegas who’s had 3 coaches in the last – what – six years? Their record: 2 finals, 1 cup. But no, let’s stick with the guy who can’t get it done in the playoffs! Surely year 6 will work out!

No Presidents trophies.
No Division titles (except for the made up Canadian division during COVID where we were the only half-decent team).
No playoff success.
TLDR: Nice try, Sheldon, but start learning Pittsburghese

It’s not just about the record. Sometimes you just need something new. The goal isn’t to have a great regular season record, it’s to win the Stanley Cup, which he hasn’t been able to do in his 5 post seasons.

He had four of the best players in the league. Maybe he isn’t the problem but he’s the easiest move to try to fix the problem.

16-21 in the playoffs with 1 series win and 1 win outside the first round.
During the five years he’s been in charge, he has had the highest payroll collectively of any coach in the NHL and we all know the Leafs have the most overall resources in hockey ops in the league by a sizeable margin.
So he’s had a very talented group, the highest paid group, and the most resources.
In the playoffs, he has a losing record, 1 series win, and 1 win outside the first round.
So… he can’t get a very talented, handsomely paid, and well resourced group to win in post-season.
Pretty tired of finishing second or third in the division and losing in the first round.

He should be fired and so should Shanahan.
Who cares, how many series has he won
