  1. That’s the best case scenario honestly. I will pray it happen.

Just need two defensemen to go before us and we guarantee one Demidov/Lindstrom. It’s realistic.

    I see two scenarios:

    1. 2d and 2 forwards go so we draft a forward at #5

    2. 1 d and 3 forwards go and we draft a d at #5. This would then allow us to trade winnepeg 1st and barron/mallioux + for a top 6 forward.

    Either way we win.

  4. Thats the best case scenario.

The worst case scenario… tij iginla…

So yeah, we win in each and every way.

I mean I get them. One projects as a pretty safe 1C to franchise level C and the other two as 6’2 and 6’7 (!!!) first defencemen. If either of these two was available for the Habs, they would take them too lol. The other wingers would have to be projected as franchise level to be selected before Levshunov and Silayev, or as 1C in the case of Helenius (a pro scout did see that in him though as he had a vote on the top 5 on Mackenzie’s list). So that leaves Demidov

Despite the Demidov-Bedard potential duo, I don’t see Chicago passing on Levshunov and I don’t see Anaheim passing on Silayev. Then, we’d have the Jackets who would also love a LD, but also a forward. I think they’d really take Demidov here as he’s got that franchise winger ceiling and Fantili’s a big boy so no risk of running a puny top 6 like the Hawks would

That leaves the Habs with Linstrom as the next big thing based on Mackenzie’s list. I believe he’s who they’d pick but we may see Sennecke too who’s rising as a prospect. His 2nd half of season and playoffs have been on par with Lindstrom’s and he’s grown 5 inches in 18 months; he could end up as a 6’4/6’5 top line winger. He seems more of a playmaker compared to Lindstrom who’s more of a goal scorer. Both have a lot of compete too, magnificent prospects

Then you have Iginla who feels pretty safe but seems to have a lower ceiling according to the pro scouts surveyed by Mackenzie and Helenius who’s seriously underrated. He could be gone top 4. He does have that 1C potential and this draft is thin on C

I’m hoping Silayev is there at 5 and that he’s the pick to be honest. Drafting a LD would cause an absolute shitstorm in here (which would be very entertaining) and he’d be very much worth it in the end. A potential 6’7 1D, imagine how terrifying he’d be with Reinbacher lmao

This would be a dream scenario for the habs but I’m afraid the top three will be Celebrini, Demidov, Lindstrom

Pretty well everyone has Lindstrom in the top-5. But after watching Iginla and Lindstrom as much as I could I prefer Iginla and it’s not even close.

    Skating – Iginla
    Shot – Lindstrom
    Vision and Passing – Iginla
    Hockey IQ – Iginla
    Compete – Iginla
    Handling – Iginla
    Physical – Lindstrom

I understand Lindstrom had a hand injury. What am I missing. I see a star potential player in Iginla and then Lindstrom, just kinda has has size and a hard but slow release. That doesn’t translate well at in IMO. Still Lindstrom. is an interesting prospect do t get me wrong, just doesn’t look like 1st round material.

The most habs thing to do
    Drafting anton silayev

  9. I know it won’t happen but buium would be my choice. The dude is a legit.
