The beast has been unleashed. The league is not ready.

The coach is usually the scapegoat, but in this case I’m not sure what else management could have provided him. Five years is enough time.

As long as Shanny is still around, nothing will change. They’ll probably sign Marner to 12×8 this summer.

Is this the start of the cull or the extent of it?
mitch-dubz
Who wants that job? Maybe reup that psycho Babcock?
RyeToast92
Very good. Now get Marner outta there asap. Send him to San Jose or something
throwmeaway_6996
He’s gonna coach for Daddy Dubas.
WackoSaco
There were definitely times where keefe was outcoached. He needed to go, BUT it only starts there. This team has to get out from under Marner, and or Tavares’ contract. We all know Mathews is untouchable, which with the amount of failure in past years, everyone should be on the table.

Canucks fan here; but I also followed and watched every leafs game this season (fiancé is leafs fan) just wanted to say I think Keefe really tried his best, especially near the end.
Speaking from experience, as we’ve seen this season with the Canucks; things can *really change fast* when you have confident/competent management and coaching staff.
This is a great step, hopefully it’s in the right direction! Never give up

Fire Shanny while they’re at it

I think we all knew this was coming

Now do Shanahan!

The goalies did their part, the coach did what he could and in the end they had their best d-man giving away pucks, regular season top scorers who can’t clutch. That roster reminds so much of Sharks in their prime, totally unrecognisable team in the playoff even tho they had some solid runs against Dallas and Detroit

“You can’t fire the team”.
CallMeTeff
Well, it was expected.

I don’t know why anybody would want to coach or play in Toronto. The fan base is rude, mean and completely out of control. The local media may be worse. I’m guessing most of the players are wishing that they were somewhere else
