@Avalanche du Colorado

Excuse the spelling errors I’m 8 brews deep.

Hard agree – that comeback was done in true Avs fashion

Can’t wait to get them on Home ice. It’s the fucking playoffs we are going to lose a game or two. Can’t have the Sweeping Brush out like we did when we won the cup.

    I feel oddly confident…

It did make me feel better that they played like crap most of the game and still almost made a comeback. When we are playing well, I don’t think they can beat us.

    Well worded.

Even tho we lost, huge momentum shift and carrying a lot of into Denver.

I mean hot damn dude, we almost tied it multiple times.

So stoked to see the rest of the series.

Avs have been comeback-maxxing for a while now, they finally found their limit, hopefully they transition over to playafull60minutesandgrabtheleadearly-maxxing for Game 3.

The overwhelming positive is that mikko, Nate, and Cale played well below their average and we made it close. If they play better we are in a great position. I ain’t scared. I mean, I am, but it’s playoffs! It shouldn’t be easy

If we can get steam going earlier and avoid penalties we are solid

The fun thing about it was my wife (who isn’t a big hockey fan) asked at the end of the 2nd period if I wanted to leave (we were there). I said “nope…never leave an Avs game early.” She agreed after the game despite the loss.

    Experience Avalanche hockey.

The plan is, and always has been, split the road.

Having said that, I was thinking that we could have taken both games.

No worries, take care of business at home.

The first two periods were some of the worst AVS hockey I have seen in a good long time.

Obviously it was not the result I wanted, but I must admit that I do get a fair bit of satisfaction when the Avs start scoring goals and you can feel the other teams’ fans starting to be get that feeling like no lead is enough. Honestly, I like seeing comebacks more than I like seeing the Avs playing with a lead. I think having to play aggressively in the third suits the team well.

  13. user111_1

Yeah not a bad third period. If they could just play that hard for 2 periods, not even 3, they would be unstoppable. The boys need to stop waiting for a crisis response to get their shit together. Avs in 5.

Imagine if we didn’t give up that shorty and scored on that PP instead…

That goal was embarrassing. Poor Georgiev, dude was playing amazing and we left him out to dry on most of the goals

1 out of 2 in Dallas is great. 2 out of 2 on home ice will be sick so we can win game 5 on their ice for good measure.
