best game overall we've played all postseason, defense was shutdown and otter was a brick wall, offense showed up when it mattered most and this team weathered the surges the Avs kept throwing at us

The only lead of any kind Colorado has had in this series was a 1-0 series lead that they had to scratch and claw to earn in overtime. The Stars have caught their breath from the Vegas series and are systematically eviscerating the Avalanche.

I said it before and Ill say it again. Dallas is the better team and I expect it to show over a best of 7 series. Colorado is good, and I expect them to win another game or two but Dallas is top to bottom better.

If they continue to hold down the Mckinnon and Makar line, keep buckling down defensively they can win the series in 6 games. Tyler Seguin finds a way to score goals on the Avalanche consistently. Both Seguin and Logan Stankoven both had a pair of goals each last night. The fourth line performance was awesome as well. Colorado is going to respond in game 4 another late start time.
TNT broadcast seemed to be lopsided in their praises, had to mute about halfway thru the game.
Stanky is this team's Blake Sloan and wears the same sweater. He buzzes around ice getting in passing lanes and disrupting everything he can get his body or stick into. To win the Stanky Cup you need contributors of all kinds. A team of all goal scorers or all defensive minds will never win the cup. Sometimes a pesky 5 footer will take the other team's scorers off their game and drive them nuts and that's the role Sloan and Stanky fulfill with absolute passion.
The Avs brought it on offense
Stars adjusted and made Colorado play the style of game which the Stars played vs Vegas and Colorado doesn’t play that style. Stars slowed the game down some focused on defense and being opportunistic.

The stars were amazing in their overall team D, always a couple guys back covering the Av's forwards, limiting the Av's prime opportunities, one of the best defensive games I've seen this playoffs, especially again Mac and Co.

If you take a range of the Forward TOI and exclude the high and low value (Johnson 21:45, Dadonov 10:33, Rantanen 25:01, Duhaime 7:12), you get a range of 11:04–15:48 (difference of only 4:44) for Dallas compared to Colorado's 7:27–24:03 (difference of 16:36).
This is a testament to the Stars ability to roll 4 consistent, which you would think only adds to their ability to conserve energy for future games.
