Such a joke man. as much as i really like the oilers this is such a terrible look by the NHL they’ve done a horrific job on calling it both ways this series. The canucks are getting the short end of the stick in this series on every turn really unfortunate to see but they are still playing well. The comment by draistil is hilarious cuz if he could hit the net they would’ve won so taking pot shots at the ROOKIE 16 GAMES INTO HIS NHL CAREER goalie after hitting the post so many times is ironic 🤣🤣
Even though he didn't intend to crosscheck him in the face, that's what ended up happening. Even if it wasn't intentional a cross check to the face is still a cross check to the face. I think 1 game is fair, McDavid could have ended up being way more hurt from it and thankfully he wasn't. That being said with the other angle of the Marchand hit I'm amazed there wasn't a suspension from it. Initially with the first angle i thought bruins fans were just making shit up but seeing the second angle it definitely was a sucker punch.

I can't stand watching this series. It's basically Draisaitl, McDavid and Hyman getting away with anything. I just absolutely hate the fact that there is no accountability for the refs at all. It doesn't matter how good of a team you have, you'll get fucked by the refs at some point.

The Nucks got away with a lot of cross checks that game probably as the refs were trying to make up for the missed McDavid high stick on Hughes. It's a shame that officiating and league discipline is such a huge factor in playoff games. I'm glad to hear that McDavid was not seriously hurt.

I think both teams have been shifted by the refs this series. the officials have been calling cross checking and slashing penalties like crazy and then missing high sticking/too many men/interference calls that are obvious. Pretty disappointing

Zadorov’s crosscheck to the back is bad, there is little padding there and he couldn’t see it/expect it.
Zadorov’s fine is justified and I agree with it. You can’t hit people from the back like that. It’s unsportsmanlike and dangerous.
Soucy’s crosscheck was going to be to the chest, if it hit the chest no further action is taken.
However, it hit McDavid in the face and even if unintentional it is still deserving of further disciplinary action.
Soucy’s 1 game suspension is justified he hit McDavid high and you can’t do that, especially to the best player in the game. It also sets a standard for the rest of the series.
After McDavid went down, Hyman crosscheck Zadorov in the face. It was not a very hard it however Zadorov needed stitches afterwards according to Dan Murphy. He came in with his stick high and it was intentional.
I believe Hyman should get a matching one game suspension. The league set the precedent with Soucy’s suspension and although it was not as hard, it was intentional and caused Zadorov to need stitches.
As a Canucks fan this seems fair. You can’t hit people from behind like Zadorov did, you also can’t crosscheck other players in the face whether it be intentional (like Hyman’s) or unintentional (like Soucy’s).
Weird that Hyman doesn't get a suspension or fine when doing the exact thing Soucy did but on purpose
