They need a legitimate starter. They cannot afford to take chances on this again. I know some people hate the term but this team is still “young” and I can see a few early games with bad goaltending rattling them. Hell it will rattle me and I’m just watching.

It’s Stolarz. And no he’s not even in the same rink as the best choice. We don’t need another old ass journeyman backup. We need a starting goalie. Jfc this wins the dumbest post of 24

We pretty much need another Marty or Terreri. Someone who is on the low end of their career and 1A capable. We don’t need someone’s backup goalie

I think the real reason that we need an elite-ish goalie is that our defense still sucks. Like Hughes and Nemec and imo Bahl are great, no reason to worry long-term. But we are built to play shitty defense. We play fast and loose and as good as the sophomores will be, they eadh have a lot yet to learn. Barring some Fitzmiracles, we are still going to be a bad defensive team, at least by playoff-contender standards. That’s why I think we need to go for it and spend on a goalie. I don’t love the double spend options like Saros and , you’re overpaying twice because first you have to trade and then you have to basically give them a sweetheart deal to make sure they stay. So I don’t love trading for goalies but I think we can do better than Stolarz. Imho, Allen is better than Stolarz (I think judging goalies is hard, so feel free to take my opinion with a grain of salt ofc).
