Great summary. I agree 100%. The way it feels as a diehard fan is that while he didn’t lose the series, he certainly didn’t win it. I watch goalies on the teams who are winning, and they are making massive saves. I also agree that regular season performance is the best predictor, but at some point, his playoff performance trend has to be considered. Also, is paying 8.5M to your key player a smart approach? That’s a ton of eggs in one basket. I also think that having and relying on Hele changes the makeup of the team whereby we don’t have the defense core required to make a cup run because he makes 8.5 and his performance is relied upon to alow us to be mediocre on D.
