Also unfortunately in normal NHL standard, you only get suspended if you injure the other player. Even if it’s an obvious intent. I’ve seen all types of calls and non calls over the years.
But the end result was he was fine and didn’t have a mark on him. It was zadorov he took a crosscheck to the head 2 seconds later from Hyman that required stitches with no fine or suspension.
So yes it only was a suspension because of who was cross checked.
