I will legitimately stop being a fan. I’ll pay attention to what happens in the NHL, but I will actively start rooting for the downfall of the CBJ for how this franchise and ownership has fucked over the fan base by putting a shitty product on the ice for 25 years. I will unironically cheer for the team to be so shit that they get relocated. Ownership and management deserve nothing more than to be embarrassed by losing the team.
I feel like everyone just needs to take a collective deep breath!!!!! the bulk of the GM rumors are from either fan/amateur journalist sites (the union blue, cbj’s thehockeynews page, etc.) or members of national media without insider knowledge who don’t know the franchise, see a name that could POSSIBLY fit and roll with it.
Maybe it’s just wishful thinking but the big insiders like friedman are saying CBJ is taking their time and waiting til the playoffs are done, I want to believe that and I feel like it’s the most logical thing to do before getting this angry over a rumor
I will quit being a fan of this team if this comes true. I said it a month ago to people in my life, I think Ken Holland is a truly incompetent executive that can only win when gift wrapped a championship culture by other people. It would be the sort of move that truly would make us worthy of a « NHL laughingstock » moniker.
