Never forget the Canadiens scoring in the 4 games they lost that series:
2 goals
2 goals
1 goal
0 goals
They were losing that price or no price because they couldn’t score on Hank. Only thing we were robbed of was 7 games of Peak Price-Lundqvist

Reminder that only in New York do you trip over something then fall feet first.

As a Habs fan, the fan base is obsessed with this and I just don’t get it. On that note, to this day Kreider still dunks on us each and every time.

You have to be a serious idiot to watch this play and think that Kreider did anything intentional here.
Opentobeingwrong
Even worse was when he killed the entire Canes team in a single period.
Infinite_State5037
He also ended Matt Murray. Seems to be a pattern.

Reminder that no one can find any other clip of a player being tripped and falling feet first that isn’t Kreider

Three big things:
– funny how defenders will be furious at forwards when they do tiny things like put a stick in to their goalie but in all the ‘incidents’ kreider has with goalies noone ever seems to get mad at him
– very fitting that the player with the most extreme combination of speed and lanky is the lesgue leader in awkward breakaway falls
– every time kreider has fallen into a goalie there is at least some defender contact and it is always an intense situation prone to chaos
I think kreider could do a better job ultimately, but seems quite intense to label him as a chronic abuser of goalies

Did this really rise to the level of « incident » that needs to be commemorated on its anniversary?

Amazing to see Rangers fans taunting Canadiens fans as if the Rags aren’t on a 3 decade cup drought.

Tokarski was awesome when he stepped in. Habs would have been bludgeoned in 5 by LA.

And goalies still get hurt still.
They need all their attention to prevent the little puck from getting in the goal. They need to make abstraction of the 6′ + forward ramming them at all speed and they are vulnerable.
But bettman and the league does not care. They care about more goals.

That’s how you win the playoffs, 2 min penalty for taking out a top dog on the other team… happens every season
Shit_Disturber71
I remember it. I’ll never forgive him either. Ended Price’s career.

I’m still mad about that.

10 years ago today Kreider was tripped and Canadians fans proved themselves to be the biggest cry babies of any fan base accross all of sports.

They booed the USA anthem….. that’s when they lost my respect.
Having said that I met and played with Yvan Cournoyer & Henri Richard. After the charity game, Yvan opened his restaurant early in the day and fed the entire team. They were both classic gentleman….. who could still play in their 50’s. I asked Henri how they managed to beat my Hawks in the 1971 Stanley Cup Finals. He said we went to bed early and got our rest. Bobby Hull was seen at 3 am with his teammates raising hell on Catherine Street. Henri said we did all our drinking out of the Cup after we won it. He won 11 Stanley Cups with Montreal. Yvan drove us to the airport after feeding us, just a classy guy who loved playing at the old Chicago Stadium. Said that the Stadium was his favorite rink to play in on the road, because the crowd was close to ice and loud. Everyone in Montreal treated us well, but booing our national anthem was brutal. Hawk fans would never boo Canada’s anthem.
