The Mets winning the pennant in 2015 was absolutely great in terms of recent memory (as well as NYR clinching the East in 2014), HOWEVER, the way the Rangers won THIS game to move on, against all the adversity & pressure, THIS was more exhilarating! Still got 8 wins to go. But feels great to be moving on with this bunch

Rangers dominated the later part of the 3rd, but yeah I'll take it. I honestly turned the game off after 3-1. My son got me to watch after it went to 3-2.
Igor never gave up after giving up 3 goals and played perfectly in the third. When Aho missed on that breakaway I began to think the Rangers might win this bc of that lost opportunity.

On both ESPN and WFAN there are hosts who said the kid to whom Chris gave the stick should have given it back, or his parents should have said No thanks. God, are these hosts human beings or just fanboy robots. Those responses to this very sweet gesture cut these hosts down to a crappy size IMO.

This was similar to 86 NLCS game 6 with Mets down 3-0 going into the 9th then tying the game with three runs then winning in extra innings. If the Mets lose that game then they're going up against Scott in game 7 and they couldn't even touch him.
