So obvious toronto was just gonna toss the entire bank vault at him, unfortunate.

Welp

I’m ok with this.

Good hire for them, I think.
Could’ve been good here, too, but clearly the org wanted to go in a different direction. They could’ve hired Berube before the Toronto job even opened up if they really wanted him.

I was excited for him, but with the way some of the blues young stars reacted to him this could be for the best. Who knows

He’ll hold those boys accountable, and just like Bowness will go crazy when he realizes they aren’t a championship core

You never know what can happen but I don’t get the excitement for any of the other candidates. 2 most recently with failed season despite having some of the best players in league and one with a total collapse 2nd half season.

Good hire for them. Would’ve been happy with him here too but there are other options (Woodcroft, Keefe, Sullivan?, Rod?, McLellan)

I originally thought he would be the guy, but when Toronto came into the mix I figured he would end up with them. I’m ok with it, my gut feeling is he would not have been the right fit for this group. My gut is also telling me Keefe would be good, but that he won’t take it and we end up with Woodcroft. I guess I’m ok with that but would prefer Keefe. I am honestly basing this on nothing but vibes lol. I’m not that in tuned to coaches and who knows how all this plays out.

Tbh, Woodcroft or Keefe probably fit better with this team anyway.

This is the big money signing, so hopefully the rest of the pieces fall into place soon.

thank god

Our roster is too soft for Berube.

Bullet dodged. Well played Fitz.

I’m good with Rod if he leaves. I thought Sullivan had a couple of more years in his deal. I’m not interested in giving any draft pick compensation to get a Sullivan.

and the fan base suddenly pretends they never wanted him to begin with. a classic
