Je veux dire, je détestais son attitude quand il était ici. Mais sans lui, nous n’aurions pas Sergy. Drouin semble cependant avoir mûri et fait un retour en force après un passage décevant à Montréal.
While we do not know the true details of his departure from the Lightning, there is a perception that he thought he was better than the coach and GM did and there was bad blood. He also seemed to come across as only wanting to play for Montreal, having “paid his dues and proven himself.” It appears he has had to eat some crow, matured a bit and is willing to be a member of a team. Either way, the Bolts got the better end of the deal in Sergachev.

Perhaps the best trade player for player in Bolts history -> getting rid of Drouin.

I hate he didn’t work out, he was talented and could have been great here.
I wonder how things would have worked out if his dad hadn’t been in his ear.
Sergy was a great consolation prize.

Really talented, had issues. We shouldn’t root against the guy, in my opinion. I’m glad that he’s still playing in the league. It’s good to see people overcome personal adversity.

I think some idiots are about to overpay him. Again.

He still sucks and is a cancer.
He is legit a ticking time bomb.

I love Dru and I am happy seeing him have success. I’m also glad he seems to have worked through whatever it was that was challenging him. I know when he was in Tampa it seemed like an attitude issue, but I’m sure there’s more to it than that and his time in Montreal just proved it. Good for him for keeping at it and working hard and being a solid forward in Colorado. I wouldn’t be shocked if he has a couple seasons where he really goes on a tear if he keeps maturing and progressing.

He seems like he really turned his life around and is doing much better. Glad to have Sergy but happy to see him doing well

He’s a crybaby and I look forward to the Stars knocking the Avs out of the playoffs.

Lots of potential, I have a gut feeling that he has substance abuse issues. If he stayed in Tampa and played to his full potential then I believe he could’ve been as good as point.
