Rumours of his demise were greatly exaggerated

The clip of just his back in slow-mo with the crowd chanting his name goes hard, feels like something out of a movie.

I like the approach the entire organization & fanbase has taken with encouraging Petey here haha

Still my favourite player on the team. I’m still very grateful that he’s on our team, and thankful for what he’s done despite this postseason.

If we continue with the Trea Turner analogy, this social media post could be the equivalent of when Turner had billboards erected to thank the Philly fans for cheering him on.

If Petey scores the GWG to win to series against the Oilers, maybe Petey will call into the Halford and Brough show to thank them for getting the #LetsGoPetey chant going! 😛

The Foot-Eye coordination it took, the reaction time, probably his most impressive point since he scored on his first shot on his first shift. Legend.

They could have mentioned him getting the second star last night as well.

  8. It’s sometimes easy to forget he’s still only 25, and there’s so much pressure on him.

The chants are so powerful, my god.

I’d be on cloud nine if I had that happen to me.

  10. I love the show that diving play to keep the puck in on the winning goal. A lot of people have focused on the little kick he did, but that diving play was just as important.

I love that the fanbase has responded this way as opposed to the kind of toxic shit you see in Toronto or many other cities under performing stars.

Try to be a skinny guy battling grown up men along the boards.. Petey needs to adjust on rough stuff of hockey if he is not going to put up muscle and be 220 lb man.. he’s got the frame 🙂
