  1. Every time the Oilers lose people bring up how they're injured and when they win, they're perfectly fine this is all smoke and mirrors

  2. I would love to see knoblaugh in the dressing room. I think he's Maynbe too soft/quiet. Sometimes a couch with a loud voice perks a player up on the seriousness of the game. The level of urgency is at the highest possible right now. Hopefully that sets in with all the players the level of effort needed.

  3. If this is the supposed do or die year for McDavid / Draisaitl you would never know it by McDavid's performance ..And yes I know he's been played to death by Knoblauch, but if this is a representation of the supposed "best player in the nhl" I'm going to have to say not from where a lot of people see it including me.

  4. Pickard plays period. Need more production from the bottom six. No passengers. No perimeter players. Vancouver is just shutting McDavid down. How many really good looks at the net has he had? I can only remember that breakaway where he scored. Oilers like a battleship with all its big guns on one side and toy pistols on the other. Salary cap partly to blame for this issue. No money available to add better depth players. Henrique and Carrick not enough. Remember Buchnevich? Tarasenko? Monahan? Guentzel? Oilers probably could not have afforded them unless they did one of those LTIR tricks Vegas is known for. Not enough team depth to do that either. Who could they have done without? Obviously, Vancouver did have money. That's how they added Zadorov, Soucy, and Lindholm. MVP of the series so far? Easy choice. Silov. No matter what big changes coming to the Oiler's roster next year. Have to clear up some cap space. New GM has a lot of work to do. Even if they win the Cup. All by himself Draisaitl deserves a huge raise. One of the best playoff performers in the history of the game. Top performers in this year's playoffs so far? Draisaitl, Ekholm, and Pickard. Honorable mention to McDavid. He keeps setting record after record. Did not know that he is one of only three players in the history of the league to have three 150 point seasons counting regular season and playoffs. The others? Gretzky and, surprisingly, Guy LaFleur. Time for him to have a Cup too.

  5. They need to go with Pickard… he deserves it. Mentally, I think he's in a better than Skinner. Less pressure for Pickard. He's the back up. So if he loses, no one will be hatn on him too much. Skinner knows if he loses, he'll be public enemy number 1

  6. what i like about this series is the hockey is getting better game by game and the whining & extra noise is lessening as teams just focus on the Ws. Saturday should be an epic go canucks go

  7. Pickard has a higher GAA in this series than Skinner. Go with Pickard I think, and get that shutout. The fans will show up 💪💪

  8. I agree with you as usual. I will say after game one Carrick moves from wing to take the draw on the first line….and has a chat with JT..but outside from that Tochet recognized what happened when LA ran Edmonton out of the rink…to me thats been a huge factor, no response…..

  9. I've been thinking the same about Perry, just didn't want to bring it up because it felt like it'd be jinxing something. He got crunched into the boards early in the first game vs the Kings and just hasn't gotten back up to where he was in the regular season since then. I would be really surprised if he's not injured.

  10. Priority to bring in:
    1) Henrique (if healthy)
    2) Carrick (we really need some additional toughness as the Canucks have been hell bent on injuring our top players).
    3) Gagner (If the other 2 are not available).
If they come in then, take out of the lineup:
    1) Perry (looksexceptionally slow and or injured)
    2) Foegele?

  11. Have a feeling they will start Skinner not my choice Skinner has proven over his 20 playoff starts he cannot handle the pressure love to have to eat my words on that but numbers don’t lie. Ya Perry hasn’t looked right since he crashed into the end boards in game 4 in LA time for him to sit bring in one of the Sam’s or both sit Perry and Brown both guys will bring energy and you know Sam G will have his nose stuck in the crease and every scrum after the whistle. I won’t be surprised to see Leon and Connor together again tomorrow night. Have to play with pace and outwork the Nuks can’t have any passengers game 6 and 7

  12. They will need to play a whole lot better than they did last time out. They need to defend the neutral zone and the blue line, can't just let the other team waltz into your zone unmolested and set up camp there.

  13. Oilers were to blow out the Canucks in 4 or 5 and go on to win the Stanley cup, What a joke, they will be done tomorrow, two superstars do not win a series.

  14. Canucks will need to dig deep, the last out is the hardest, though they have been rising to the challenge all year.

  15. Leave Pickard in for the rest of the series, put Skinner back in Game 1 with Dallas, if they get there.

  16. Oilers biggest deadline blunder is always being ok with Skinner as a 1a and an AHL back up. No offense to CP, he's been solid but who would've rolled the dice with cup dreams on that tandom outside of Edmonton management?! No one, absolutely no one. I wouldve brought JC back in

  17. very close games…. a ref call… a bounce… But, odd team has never played Picard 2 in a row, let alone 3 alone. RNH, McLeod, Foeg… lot of guys that have never shown ability to finish… Nurse 8, Cici -5… Just so much put upon McD & Drais by coaches & mgt – but hoping they can pull it out one more time.. !!

  18. A lot to ask of Pickard. 3 straight games is new to him plus this is must win, and a ton of pressure. I just don’t see him stepping up. He’s really not even a proven NHL goalie. Last 2 games are an outlier for him.
