  1. Engaging in this dialogue is akin to a mental workout, exercising the faculties of reason and analysis.😚

  2. Word is DeAngelo was brought back on orders from ownership. Tom Dundon is no rocket scientist nor is he a professor of logic.

  3. Most were saying that Carolina had one of the best blue lines in the playoffs… they lost because they got terrible goaltending at crucial times and had an abysmal power play.

  4. Listing off the goalies that the Canes have lost too just proves that their strategy of "throw everything on net and pray" doesn't work against top goalies

  5. 3 straight series that should have gone to seven ended in six instead. This can only mean that the Hockey Gods are dead and Hockey Satan is firmly in control.

  6. Canes consistently have good goaltending, not great. They are able to get past round 1 because you play against other good goaltenders. But once you pass round 2, everyone has great goaltenders

  7. We lost because they don't have people that crash and bang into the goalie….
Like Boston like Florida…. Like the Rangers.. Lake Dallas…. In general Carolina has a soft team that doesn't hit anybody

  8. The salary cap is going up and they have tons of players to resign. I imagine the canes look very different next year.

  9. Leafs fans are so beaten down they're trying to find faults in a team that regularly makes it to Round 2 and 3

  10. Carolina had no business losing to the Rangers. Anderson and kochetcov had a combined 0.878 save percentage. Anderson had two games in the playoffs at a 0.82 save percentage…. 2 games in the series they had an 18% chance of the puck going in per shot. I don't think it's Carolinas fault. I think Anderson needs to block 5 to 8 more shots a game.

  11. Brind'Amour may end up in Seattle with Ron Francis after Dave Hakstol was let go. I think there it isn't a coincidence that in the same week that Brind'Amour's contract proposal was taken off the table that Hakstol was let go. Francis was the one who hired Brind'Amour in Carolina and I think a deal is already in place.

  12. I was one of the people questioning the Kreider extension a few years ago. I will rightly shut my mouth until further notice. He is worth every penny of that deal so far.

  13. Hugest of L’s for that “Korpisalo and Merzlikins jail” comment.

Those two are a meme now and the Leafs should have beaten them but both were genuinely good back then and they didn’t have reputations for being holograms like they are today. They were the reason the Jackets were even competitive that year. They were good enough that they don’t warrant a “jail jail jail” comment. Cmon Steve.

  14. Chris Kreider is part of a dying breed of power forward. He's actually adjusted his game to hit people less. Because contact is not allowed. When we say a guy hasn't won a Cup….teams win cups. And great players don't always win cups

FYI important note about Kreider….he made his debut as an NHL player in the playoffs. And scored 5 goals
