  1. Refs need to be held accountable for this series 6 power plays were taken away from the Avalanche yet the Stars whine about a clear interference on goalie. The whole legacy of Dallas is based on Brett Hull’s clear interference goal when they beat the Sabres and yet to this day, Stars are given playoff series by poor Referees. The NHL has turned into the NFL with how the refs decide instead of calling the game correctly

  2. Going to continue to say it, Bedumb was badly outcoached in Game 6, it was so easy to see what the Stars were doing, kept top line of the Av's against the boards, eliminated east/west passing, let the Av's come to them expending energy, third period, they united a young line – Robertson, Johnston and Stankhoven and poured on the energy. We know this because the SOG were almost always even throughout the game. Bedumb did NOTHING to adjust to the line changes by the Stars, and you could see the energy they had stored up for the third period on Benn's goal at 18:30. BEDUMB got schooled last night.

The only way you lose three games at home with the advantage of line changes is if you stand there and do nothing to match adjustments other than say, but, I got good players with heart. Wake up coach, I am putting this all on Bedumb and Chris McFarland with some really stupid decisions on personnel. By the way, Tanev was a master stopping east/west passes last night.

  3. soooo happy they are out!!!! NEXT SEASON BEDNAR stop playing your elite guys on game 82…… and said you ask them if they wanted too play ,,,, REST YOUR ELITE GUYS 1 week before playoffs…..

  4. As a Stars fan I have nothing but respect for Bednar. I honestly like the guy and he never crys or trys to point fingers at others for their short comings. He's human and makes mistakes but damn he's got a Cup that's just barely 2 seasons old. There's always an emotional overreaction after losing a series and having your season ended for EVERY team and fan base. Only one wins it all…..then it's clear the slate and start a new run. I thought he dealt with the obvious adversity very well and his team could have folded in 5 and called it a season but instead they fought like hell to get it back home to even have the chance to extend the series. Just wasn't in the cards and wasn't their year.

  5. Can't wait until next year when you simps who believe "Oh, it was a good year, everyone deserves a participation trophy" come around when we face deeper teams in the playoffs and achieve the same results. We would have lost against VGK had we won the division, we would have exited in the first round and would not have beaten them. The Av's would not have beaten VGK this year. This team and coaching staff need to level up if they want to compete for the cup. Or continue to underachieve. You all praise this team when they fill you with glorious comments and then you turn to "simps" when they don't measure up by being nice and complicit. Chris Mcfarland is a disaster – TarTar, Kiviranta, Johannsen – who is a complete cancer, and now Drouin unsigned, Sean Walker unsigned, Val Numscle needs to be cut, Landy has been a string-a-long for 2 years, no backup goalie that has more then 10 games under their belt. Just stupid, even though this team made it to the second round, it is regressing in massive ways. Oh, and let's not forget knowingly you have NO backup goalie with Francouz injury-prone and trying to use washed-up back-ups that get cut, and finally settle on Annunen with 90% of the season over. You people can continue to play games with this or you can demand more from a team that is somehow marketed as an elite team…its pure garbage right now that was ousted in the first and second rounds with players that are in rehab.

  6. Lots of respect for Bednar, classy guy, accountable and no pointing fingers or excuses; very logical! Thanks for a great series Avs and coach Bednar!

  7. Yeah tough one. Certainly good enough to win, didn't. But he's right, like 8 or more teams are good enough. Gotta be hot enough and crazy enough for 4 straight long match ups. Keep the team together best we can Joe, let this just be confirmation for them all. I think they had a better chance than any team by a bit, but it always comes back to that equality in the league. Gotta try these guys again I think. Keep the new guys if we can.
