Casual hockey fan here. What’s the point of replay review if they can’t overturn the call on the ice? Why does the original call hold so much weight? I don’t understand

Mason Marchment’s goal would have been good during the regular season. Matt Duchene was being nudged into Alexander Gorgiev. They probably didn’t want to end the series that way. I didn’t see any evidence of goalie interference it would have been a major talking point if Colorado had won the game. The referees took a while to review the play because Duchene was never in the crease but whatever it doesn’t matter we won 🙌.

I do think (my opinion only) that Colorado was fishing for penalties. The helmet with malaria when he was the one who try to do a cross check. Also game 5 on the 2nd PP goal the penalty was more initiated by the Colorado player which got a high stick call.

Such a soft call made on the ice level. Toronto looks like a clown after the crap that’s been happening across multiple series. The rule needs to be changed if it is this wildly variable.

The NHL would've given that goal to Dallas "ONLY IF", the game wasn't in overtime. Rules shouldn't be changed just because it's OT.
I have no problems with rules as long as the NHL is consistent. FOLLOW YOUR OWN RULES and be consistent NHL.
I agree with Mr. Erickson here. If you create a rule, follow it to the T.
The NHL needs to do what the NFL does, typically NFL refs allow plays to continue. So, if someone fumbles and it's a questionable fumble, they let it play out and setup the rules where these situations can be resolved with replay. Instead of taking it away during play, they allow it and take it away from the replay. That was not goalie interference, and the idea that they didn't have enough evidence is laughable, but we know the NHL will always back whats typically called on the ice by the refs, which isn't always a bad thing, but setup the rules of replay so you can let the refs make things right.

The Avalanche showed exactly what happens whenever you rely on solely 2 players to provide you offense and mckinnon and Makar. They showed how pathetic they are when they let nichuskin who is a 2 time repeater in the NHL player assistance program relapse due to failing and trying and not following the guidelines that were set forth by the NHL.
Nillsy has a big decision to make to try and get lunquist off of this team and sold for any amount of money it's time for the experiment to end. His development with the Kitchener Rangers was not suitable for the star's type of play, I think the kid has a lot of potential just with a Atlantic division team or metropolitan division team not with this Western style of play. Petrovic did outstanding in his first playoff career game I think that he will be a great asset in the Western conference finals as long as they continue to play him and not let lunquist back in the lineup.
I think I would rather have the Oilers over the Canucks to play the Stars due to the fact that during the regular season we were able to shut down the McDavid drycidal duo quite well I think both teams Oilers and Canucks are very overrated and it's not superstars that are gonna win the Stanley cup this year it's gonna be depth.
even after blatently bieng rubbed of a good goal, we still won it, our team is very special it has stanley cup champion writen all over it, this is exactly what cup winning team do, they stop the bleading like that. buckle ur belt, joey it will b a heck of ride for last part of this
