  1. Marner and especially Nylander will cry when Berubie starts yelling at them.
Keefe was always trying to be the core 5 friend.
Berubie will kick ass and all the soft sissy players will call their Agents and ask them to try to get the Leafs to trade them.
Nylander refusing to ever arrive first in the corners to pick up a lose puck won't be tolerated by Berubie.
Soft players are useless in the very physical playoffs and thats why the Leafs lose every year in the playoffs.

  2. I love that we have a coach with the ethos of Berube. We need a no-nonsense, hard-ass like this guy. I can't imagine Berube, in the locker room before game 7 telling this team to "have fun". I can see Berube saying (based on past performance), "get out there and win or heads are gonna roll". Whilst there were things I liked about Keefe, what I didn't like was the lack of (IMO) a studied playbook of how to play against specific opponent lines. How can you when you're changing your lines so much during the regular season? I hope Berube spends the time to let specific lines play together for the majority of the season and build a style of play that gels with each other. And then, by studying your opponents in detail, have a playbook for how to play against them & overcome them.

  3. Well now no more talk or excuses put a F–ING team on the ice that can win in the playoffs that is the goal I will believe it when I see it

  4. The Leafs have Max Domi, Tyler Bertuzzi and Joel Edmundson on their re-signing wishlist. With 16 players currently under contract and 4 RFAs to qualify, I wonder who of these two groups will become trade chips? I can see the Leafs offering bridge deals to Timothy LIljegren, Nick Robertson and Conor Dewar, leaving Noah Gregor unqualified and as the odd man out.
This leaves us with a game of roster spot musical chairs among those players who do not have full NMCs. So now the question becomes: Who of David Kampf, Calle Jarnkrok, Conor Timmins, Ryan Reaves, Pontus Holmberg, Bobby McMann, Matthew Knies and newly extended LIljegren, Robertson or Dewar are on the trade block?
I know who I want them to keep: Holmberg, Knies, McMann and one of either Liljegren or Timmins but not both. Unfortunately, the likelihood of the 2024-25 Leafs looking a lot like the 2023-24 Leafs is a real possibility.

  5. Hey Andrew… Just a heads up there is only one coach in the modern area of the NHL who has won a Stanley Cup, moved to another team, and won another Stanley Cup. It is Scotty Bowman.

So the chances of Craig Bérubé winning a cup is as rare as Hen’s teeth.
Pass it on to your patrons.

  6. AT THE END OF THE DAY THE LEAFS LOOKED GREAT THE LAST 3PLAYOFFS GAME…..BUT IN ORDER TO MOVE ON THRU THE ROUND 2-3OR4 [WE NEED A POWERPLAY THAT CAN SCORE GOALS] BOTTOM LINE 1FOR25 IS DISGUSTING…..PP NEEDS TO SCORE!!!!!

  7. Berube being over rated by the Toronto media, Plus this idea of needing a coach that has won a cup is just silly, coaches don't win cups on different teams, just doesn't happen

  8. i was fortune enough to watch berube play live at the gardens back in the day. certainly no soyboy those days. hopefully berube can smack the soyboy out of soyboy marner. if not he will do very well in the women's pro hockey league.

  9. Team didn't take a step up , because the guys in the office wouldn't change the make up of the team, ps any time Sheldon try calling out the top guys , it was clear he was made to back track on it from the guys above him, so stop this crap about Berude being able to do much more without the make up of the team changing

  10. Marner and nylander will want out of Toronto.LOLOLOL Give them both a gold platter Soother as they go out the door.

  11. they need to change the players not the coach. Toronto best payers don't play the way Berube has had past teams.

  12. ive been saying this for 3 to 4 years now, skill can only get you so far. you need more than just skills when it comes to the playoffs. you've got to be willing to get dirty deep into the trenches. clearly as you can see in the current teams that are advancing in the playoffs you dont see any core 4 or 5 players to win in the playoffs. if it was the case this team should of won 2 or 3 cups by now for the past 9 or 10 years.

  13. Regarding a Marner trade

    He MIGHT agree to go:
Somewhere where he has a chance to win
Somewhere that might be a fun place to live

    Teams that would be interested:
    Lower scoring teams
    Underperformed playoff bubble teams
    Teams with some cap space

    Players Leafs would trade for:
    High tier RHD
    High tier G
    2C to replace JT

  14. Hiring Berube will likely motivate Marner to waive his no move clause, which is a good thing, because he needs to move on elsewhere. Other players who might be sweating a bit would be Nylander, Lilljegren, and Robertson. Reilly needs an azz kicking as well. Except for last years round 1 vs Tampa, he's been barely average, and for some reason, can only play half decently with bottom pair type guys (Hainsey, Schenn, Lyubushkin etc.)

  15. Mitch better waive his NMC, and it will get us out of this situation. both Bertuzzi and Domi need to be re-upped, plus we need a solid Goalie. If he accepts we can ship this non-playoff player for say….Jusse Saros + a D-man + a pick. Nashville needs offense. with Brodie's money off the books We could have money room for DeBrusk as well… who's ALWAYS wanted to be a Leaf.

  16. These two comments below are dead on CORRECT!…. I honestly believe players will want to get traded cause of Berube. Can Nylander or Mathews handle it?… that’s if Shanahan allows him!…. Next season is gonna be soooo interesting on what happens.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

  17. I’d like a vid on potential assistants that you think they may hire (and if any will stay around). I personally think there’s 4 main options for leafs trading Marner. 1)Sea: for a combo of wright, 8th overall, and Larsson (2 of the 3), 2) Calgary: bigger package for andersson and markstrom, 3)VGK: Theodore and Roy, 4: Nas: Saros + a pick. Maybe vid on those 4 as well.

  18. Berube is a new voice, with Rod Brindamour staying in Carolina and Queenville ineligible this was the best choice available for the type of personality the Leafs need to coach

  19. I would of waited out for a bit and grabbed Joel Quinnville most definitely he is a proven winner with Stanley cups he is a no BS coach he just has winning pedigree and team him up with a coach like Gabby just to level out good cop bad cop type a thing plus Gabby is more in the now with coaching but Quinnville should of been the coach he won pills by 44% that he should be coach , we will have to see not say Berube is not a good coach and no BS but compared to Quinnville not a chance , well go leafs go I'm in .

  20. That is not anywhere close to being true . The blues were not going to sell off the team all the year when they won the stanley Cup .. STOP SAYING GOOFY THINGS THAT ARE NOT TRUE ….

  21. It doesn't matter who coaches the leafs the team is jinxed since 1967 we had so many coaches and haven't won 💩 so now Berube is our saviour lol 😂😂😂

  22. We needed Quinville. No one else! Trade Marner, grab a Grade A Goalie for the first time in two decade and aa few extra pieces!! We would be A.O.K but this is the Wrong coach and I don't see Marner leaving Toronto. Either he doesn't agree with leaving or Shanny lies to the fans and bows to Marner once again. We shall see
