Unless Lindstrom’s injuries are an issue this shouldn’t be a discussion.

  2. I have more trust in Lindstrom being able to assert himself physically in the NHL, even if, of his 6’3 height, about a foot and a half of it is all neck & head and his shoulders height is about the same as a 6’1 guy.

I have more trust in Sennecke being able to produce points in the NHL even if most of them will be linemates picking loose pucks that everybody is searching for after Sennecke lost it trying to dangle through 5 guys.

Ya, if if Demidov is *not* gonna be picked at 5 … the Bobrov connection has me hoping otherwise – I’d go with Cayden Lindstrom or Catton maybe even Basha before Sennecke.

Teddy Stiga is a player I would draft at 27 if he’s there, very underrated.

I’ve watched some Sennecke videos and I’m not that impressed. I find him slow, something like Kotkaniemi but bit slower. He dangles through defencemen, but it doesn’t look natural.

If you look at the videos showing the goals of any player, all of them look good. Relatively to Catton or Iginla videos, Senneke looks ordinary.

As for Lindstrom, I prefer Catton. Catton has better vision (which is the most important attribute) wnd better hands. Size is over-rated.

I trust KH to make the right pick. One Sennecke please.

The main concern of Sennecke is he played extremely well the last third of the season + playoffs, that’s a 35-40 game stretch.

It’s really starting to feel like media and fans are forcing the narrative that we MUST draft a forward.

Why? We could also draft a D, and package other D men and picks for a solid young forward.

The consensus is that the D’s are the best players at the top of this draft.

Sennecke is such a boring pick if we can’t get Lindstrom or Demidov just take one of the dynamic D available and trade one later.

  9. I often wonder if some of these people are getting fed information to prepare the fanbase, maybe they’re considering him and they want that name out there.

I work for a video game company and our marketing team does things like that, “leaks” to prepare players and manage expectations.

Edit: I only say that cause he had Slaf and Reinbacker as Habs picks even though the public lists were not high on Reinbacker.

I like what I’ve seen from senneke, he has a very unique skill set when it comes to puck control and edge work

You take Lindstrom over Sennecke probably, even though Sennecke’s last half and playoff was so good.

But I could see the first four picks being Celebrini, Demidov, Levshunov, and Lindstrom, so then we’re picking between the lower tier of forwards and some very high-end defencemen. Any of the forwards are kind of a reach at 5 so I’m fine taking a D, but maybe the team is really high on Iginla or Sennecke, I just don’t know.

Don’t want either. Tij Catton or if they’re both available that means a top D is available and those don’t grow on trees and are worth a mint on the trade market.
