Matt Duchene really took that goalie interference call against him personally and finished this series off himself. Neither Avs nor the Refs would deny him or the Stars this victory. 3-1 in OT2.
I knew it was in overtime. Later when I checked the score, it said Dallas had won. The final score? 3 to one. In the stat line he got credit for two goals. Pretty impressive!
So poetic for Duchene to be the guy to do it after all that bad blood. Loved how classy he was postgame too, he got a raw deal before he left Colorado.

I wanted Dallas to win, but I thought the entry into the offensive zone for the game winning goal looked like Dallas was offside. I can't find a replay of it to back up my theory either. Every highlight that I can find doesn't show the entry into the zone. With the way officiating has been, I could see them not even caring about that either. I was sober and watching it live too.

With the incredible parity in the league these days it takes an amazing team to get into the playoffs, let alone to advance. The Stars are awesome, but I am sure they won't just walk over either Vancouver or Edmonton. In any case, whoever wins the East will be no pushover either! Great times to be a hockey fan!

Yeah the called off OT goal I'm super idk about. Problem about the call is that there isn't enough sufficient evidence on either side to overturn a call. So if it was called a goal, and Avs tried to counter it, I feel we would have been in the same boat, and that would have been season.
As a stars fan, I think he didn't get enough recognition but Chris Tanev played phenomenal. Shut down Avs core and made a number of key blocks.
